Have you ever been called crazy, or better yet, been diagnosed as crazy?

I went through drug induced psychosis once for a period of about a year, not fun.

I've got real bad situational anxiety which then manifests into paranoia. Back in high school, I woke up one morning and drank 5 cups of coffee, my anxiety got so bad, I convinced myself I was becoming schizo so I just got in my card and left. Not much of a story, although the anxiety has continued, it sucks, I gotta keep it in check

Never been diagnosed with anything (except depression when I was younger), but schizophrenia runs in my family, and sometimes late at night when the world is quiet, I hear what sound like far off voices mumbling things I cannot understand. Sometimes I think I hear them say my name. And every once in a while, when I am on the verge of falling asleep, right as my brain starts to fade out, I get startled back to full awareness by a high pitched angry, echoing scream in my right ear. The screaming voice is male, but it never says anything. Just screams.

That's more normal than you might think. The brain fails to relinquish the lock on the body when you wake up. It can be scary as hell though if you don't know what's going on... or if it happens at just the wrong time, like if you get woken up when there is someone in your house and find yourself physically unable to move.

I was diagnosed as having "Night Terrors" which are really bad nightmares, when I was a kid. These are the kind that your parents have to throw you in the shower to wake you up, or I would wake up outside on the lawn having. Pretty scarey, hasn't happened in a while.

You must communicate more. That may sound simple, as it is the only way to deal with almost any relationship issue. Talk to your partner about this post and what you think about your codependency.
A relationship with a person is formed entirely through acts of communication, both conscious and otherwise. If the free flow of communication is hindered at any point, the relationship will suffer. Sometimes there are things that a person refuses to communicate to their partner for any reason, for better or for worse. If that subject is important to either party, then the lack of communication can limit the relationship. In fact, it can cripple or even destroy a relationship if the reasons are so dire.
There are only two paths out of relationship issues; communication and growth, or the end of the relationship. You either grow closer together or grow apart.

I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I have great experience with psychosis. The strangest disorder I have ever encountered. The delusional aspects of psychosis are so widely varied in their manifestation. In short, your mind can come up with some strange shit. A psychotic person can show all the signs of just about any other psychological disorder, OCD, ADD, even psychopathy or sociopathy, as scary as that sounds.
If you've ever experienced a third or fourth plateau DXM trip, you know what it is like to form your own internal consistent reality completely separate from the consensus reality.
With psychosis, anything goes. I could be afraid that the color of the red diamond on the card in the box in the drawer in the kitchen is out to get me, and that the TV has been paid off to keep me distracted while that red motherfucker is conspiring with my mom telepathically because she is actually a werewolf who tortured me so much that I blocked out the memory of her hairy paws scratching and scratching my arm and that's where that scar came from. Not from that bike fall I had as a kid. She just used that as an excuse to get her werewolf way.
