Challange to smokers

Buy some of this guy's tobacco and report how it's different from the cigarettes you usually smoke. Here is a post where he talks about tobacco.
I go to the tobacco auctions and I see what cheap tobacco looks like before it's processed. If you saw it, you wouldn't smoke it.
-- I'll try to keep this as concise as possible, but the world of tobacco before it is put on a shelf ready to roll (so to speak) is really quite complicated. First, a brief introduction.
I got started about 5 years ago while sitting at my dining room table looking at the phone not ringing. After almost 30 years of General Contracting, I knew I had to do something or starve. April 1, 2008 I read in the newspaper Federal tax on cigarettes and cigarette tobacco was going up 2400%. I laughed it off as a good April fools joke. Two day later, I heard it was real, five days after that I had tobacco seeds and my new career was launched.
About whole leaf...When the feds increase "pipe tobacco" tax to that of cigarette tobacco, whole leaf will become the last frontier for inexpensive tobacco. In that I can not compete with pipe tobacco currently, the only leverage I have against pipe tobacco is to offer a higher quality product.
I go to the tobacco auctions and I see what cheap tobacco looks like before it's processed. If you saw it, you wouldn't smoke it. Commercial tobacco is mechanically harvested and is not intended to be handled by human hands...ever. Of the six types of cigarette tobacco I sell (Flue Cured, Burley, Turkish, Dark Air, Maryland and Fire Cured), five are hand harvested and processed. In that it is hand harvested, it costs more to process, so it cost more to buy. I know when the time comes, I'll have to offer cheap tobacco, but I'd like to try to set the standard on the higher side to start. When the tax increase occurs, there will be a race to the bottom, just like everything else, but those who know what whole leaf should be will likely not settle for cheap tobacco.
I also have a tobacco forum. I jokingly refer to it as my customer service department. We are uncovering the secrets of big tobacco and scaling down the processes so a home user can employ these same basic processes. The site is 50% -60% about growing tobacco, but growing it is only half the battle to a finished product. I don't want to advertise anything here, but if you google my user name (FmGrowit), you'll hit it. --

How about you buy it for me so I can be part of your experiment? Otherwise I will stick to my Newport 100s, and hopefully quit tobacco sooner rather than later.

I'd definitely order that 3 & a 1/2 # sample pack if I didn't just quit smoking a few days ago.

I read somewhere the "freebase" nicotine gives a more satisfying smoking experience for the nicotine addict.
Which is why I was not surprised, when this article went on to mention that the two national brands that have been measured to have the highest freebase nicotine content are... (can you guess?)
1- Newports
2- American Spirit
Actually, if I remember correctly, American Spirit tested highest. Which also makes sense (to me) because as an ex full-time Newport smoker, I found those to be one of the few cigarettes that was about as satisfying.
(BTW, in terms of "dip" the highest freebase nicotine goes to Kodiak. Again, no surprise there, to anyone who's ever used it.)
I guess they use different tricks to up the freebase content. Adding ammonia or something similar, etc. But I can't help but wonder how the American Spirit fits in to all this.... since... don't they claim that their cigarettes are 100% natural and/or additive free?
Maybe they just found a "natural" chemical that ups the freebase content.

At least 3 people seem to think so. (Four, including you.)
And @ "boomers" if that was a bit much for you, in the reading department, perhaps you should reconsider spending so much of your time in an online forum. Seems like a bad choice.
Then again, I don't expect someone who thinks the short post above is too much'a that dang readin stuff, to be able to make good choices.
Just saying...

I'd love to try some of this. I'd order the 3.5# sample pack but I don't smoke enough (and am broke) so I won't. Looks tasty!

well i finally got around to ordering some of this stuff and i can confirm that it's an even cleaner smoke than American Spirit and as a complete non-smoker, i get a potent stimulant high when i hit this stuff. smoking this clean stuff shows me why tobacco is smoked (and sometimes brewed up with) during ayahuasca sessions.
I emailed the owner and i asked him what was the stuff that had the best ratio of nictone 'punch' for mildest smoke and this was the product he advised I buy: http://wholeleaftobacco.com/Maryland-609-MD609.htm
I also got a ton of the stuff for only $20 (that includes the cost of priority shipping). Highly recommended.
Tobacco, which for many reasons we do not advise using, is a problem if the tobacco is cured (fermented) because the commercial companies use sugar and yeast in the curing process. The tobacco then has very high levels of yeast, fungus, and mycotoxins, which are taken directly into the lungs. Some people believe that cancer is not so much caused by the nicotine as by the fermented tobacco with the yeast and fungus and mycotoxins. In Fungal/Mycotoxin Etiology of Human Disease, Vol. 2, the mycotoxic fungi Alternaria and Aspergillus niger were found in six brands of commercial cigarettes. It is interesting to note that cigars, which are not cured, do not seem to cause cancer and do not seem to have much fungus. (I am not recommending, however, that people take up cigar smoking.) Research in Fungal/Mycotoxin Etiology of Human Disease, Vol. 2, found that in some chewing tobacco, there are nine species of Aspergillus, providing a variety of cancer-producing mycotoxins including ochratoxin, patulin (also found in apple juice), aflatoxin, and sterigmatocystin. Research found that cigarette smokers also have a higher amount of fungi in their mouth; Candida albicans is especially increased.
