Some guidance on these Fruiting cakes?

First time grower, so it's a sloppy one but Here are some photos of my fruiting chamber with 8 colonized, dunked/rolled brf cakes. I've got some pinning/fruiting action on a few and the rest are still blank. Do these look alright? they've all been in the chamber for 2 days so far. I thought there would be more pinning but it seems to be about 2 or 3 per cake; is this a sign of a low yield? Any constructive criticism will be welcomed thankfully.

Everything looks fantastic to me, and it's my very firm opinion that any fruits at all after two days in the FC is a sign of a very good yield (if it's a sign of anything).

Well that's certainly good to hear. My dog,if you could believe it, chewed up my hygrometer before I could put it in the chamber so I'm basically in the dark for the next few days humidity wise. Perlite is damp and I mist and fan twice a day but I'm worried that the ambient humidity in my home might cause some problems. May have to purchase a humidifier soon. It gets quite dry and cold in Maryland this time of year.

Your dog did you a favor. Hygrometers are useless, and I agree with the advice Notahacker gives out on the subject: throw the damn thing away, and if your substrate isn't glistening you should mist it until it is.

Really? Everything i've read stated explicitly to have a hygrometer. Why throw it out?

The cheap ones are unreliable and inaccurate, and the expensive ones are expensive. When they're working, they'll tell you with almost 90% confidence that your perlite is wet and that your substrate is so moist it's glistening, but dipping your finger into the perlite and glancing at your cakes is both easier than reading the damn thing and 100% accurate.

I prefer to look at my mushrooms to know what they need. You can tell if RH is too low, or if they need more FAE, just by looking at them. The mushrooms will give you far better info than your hygrometer on what they need if you just listen.
BTW if your username is a TPB reference that's fucking cool

Well, I'm a newb so I don't speak their language quite yet. Not sure what to look for. And yes, The MustardTiger is an homage to the late, great Philadelphia Collins.

watch for a glisten on the surface of your cakess, thats the moisture from your misting nd also if you see this thats your 100%humidity on the surface of your cakes where no hygrometer can measure, mist when the glisten goes away fanning as often as possible between times.once you have fruits watch the base of them, if they start to g fuzzy you need to increase your fae

I've read that once pins form, it should only take a few days for mature fruits; It's been 3 days and mine are moving like a turtle it seems. What would cause slow growth like this? My temp is 73F just outside the FC and I mist/fan 2-3 times daily. Too much water? Not enough?

Genetics. I have had fruits that went from pins to ready in 2 days, others take over a week. Just wait till the veils tear and then it's time Everything else sounds good to me.

I guess I'll just have to wait. I'm just worried I've come this far and now things are going to go down the crapper.

Thanks for the positive vibes. I'm going away for 3 days tomorrow so hopefully I'll come home to something nice.

I think your under the impression that they will all jump out at once but a lot of times on cakes they dont. Also if you use a spore syringe they dont often either thats why you select a fast and large shroom then clone the shit outa its jeans and make a master culture jar.

I don't think cloning mushroom pants is a recommended tek.

I'm having a friend fan and mist while I'm gone, no worries.
