I guess it's an issue of priorities, then.
I could never have a job where I wasn't challenged daily. I'd mentally rot

Looking for a career that I could stick with. Something tech would be interesting; like manufacturing chemicals, fixing wires, i don't fucking know. I hate thinking about his because I have no fucking clue what to do with my life.

Whats the longest you have been unemployed and without money? I think that, if times changed and you were hard up for a job you would learn how to appreciate it.
I think I am the same way kind of, I would prefer mental stimulation and try to avoid mental rot. But when the bills come in and you start getting older mental rot is often preferable to losing your house and eating at soup kitchens.

Me neither. But I have been close. Its one of the shittiest things I have ever gone through. First world problems I know... But I would certainly drive a garbage truck if that is what it took to maintain my first world lifestyle.
I was actually at a career fair recently and chatted with a lady at a booth for a trash collecting company. lol

It is like winning the lottery. Its an extremely hard job to get. You have to be quite lucky to land the job. And once you have it you are set for life.
Hold the fuck up, once you make it into the exclusive fraternity of collecting trash for a living...you're set for life?
Alright so maybe pay for being a garbage man is decent considering you're picking up trash for a living, but set for life? Set for life is when you're a professional athlete and you sign a 20 million dollar contract spread out over four years. That's set for life. Getting 15 to 20 bucks an hour or whatever the fuck it is...is not being "set for life".

It comes with decent benefits too, and is there a union? there probably is. So iit is probably pretty hard to get fired.

I'm not saying getting the job makes you "set for life" but it's not too bad of a gig.
The work isn't too hard & it's decent pay, not too bad of a gig if you ask me
The only real downfall of it is the smell, which you'd get used to pretty soon.
I remember on holidays & stuff my parents used to set six packs of beer & stuff out out for them, I thought that was pretty cool.

Certainly not a glamour job to say the least (understatement of the year) but yeah, I've heard that if willing to do it the pay is pretty solid. Kinda like truck driving. And that was really cool of your parents, lol.
