Is there a word for the sensation or thought that qualia revolving around our perceived bodily and mental sensations not being real??
It's something I have felt before and can vaguely recall reading about in the past, but cannot recall if there was a word for it...
Edit: Phrased the first sentence incorrectly.
-------------------- To be human is to be fettered, to endure what one is, in perpetuum, no matter what the debility or perversity.

Dissociation comes to mind but I feel like that's a little bit different.
Someone who is dissociated might have these symptoms but don't necessarily need them to qualify for that label maybe.
Depersonalisation? I think that's also a form of dissociation.

Lol! I can imagine why.
Why do you think this is that people are perturbed by it enough to react in such a way to it that you'd be saying this?
It's something I've experienced very strongly as a result of practicing just watching things and stilling/quieting my mental reactions to them. I've found that when I ingest a psychoactive substance, it has a strong chance of magnifying that sensation.
Derealization and Depersonalization do come to mind, but often are used in the nomenclature of dis-ease to describe affliction, symptoms, something that is causing someone actual dis-ease. Not something achieved via strict mental discipline.
Also, do you know if this sensation is in any way related to the Buddhist concept of Sunyata?

"is this real?" was what a kid in my grade school would always say. I figured out that he was saying it as an expression and confession of not being able to rationalize what he saw in his mind.
I can relate to all the dissasocitivness that this thread bas to offer.

doubt it suffices it is the right word
you can break doubt up into a thousand fragments and facets, but when you engage in doubting it expands all possible gaps, you can fall through those cracks
- that way madness lies.

It's unknown I think. Not necessarily real or fake, life is what it is, no use over thinking it.
