The average lifespan is in the seventies. 70 x 365 = 25,550 days. The person in question works 12 hours each day, that's 0.5 days If a person worked at this job for their entire life. Every day, even as an infant, they would spend a total of 12,775 days working. We'll be generous and say they make a dollar a day. That's $12,775 in their entire life, which is impossible. So we're looking at less than $12,775. Is that how much a human life is worth to you?

You're misunderstanding what he's saying I think, also most mexican workers make well over $1.00/a day.

I'm speaking entirely out of my experience with migrant workers picking vegetables in the southwest United States.

I've met ~10 illegal workers, all of them make at least a few bucks an hour? this is east coast though I'm talking about though.
I doubt it varies that much, you say they make $0.75 a day, that's bullshit, if that was true why wouldn't they come over here and make ~4+ times that every hour?

pretty sure in construction they make ten bucks an hour but they're up at the crack of dawn on the side of the road waiting to get picked up
my friend said explicitly I wouldn't be able to cut it
