Isn't art about communication?
If you're able to communicate how you feel (about yourself, society, art, whatever topic you desire), which Francesca clearly is able to do as you acknowledge, you have succeeded greatly in my mind and in my definition of art.
I guess we have a different definition of art.

guy asks a question about sleep deprivation and it turns into an art debate, ohh shroomery everytime ahaha i'd say the major dangers are loss of sanity, and not in the fun way with ego loss, thinking you've gone beyond death and transcended reality as we know it only to slowly drift back to real life, no not in that way. I'm talking about going over the deep end and not coming back.
but that's just my guess i don't know the facts if you're really worried you could always read the wikipedia article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_deprivation i had a friend who stayed up as long as he could one time when he was younger (before he had any interaction with any mind altering substances) and he told me after he went so far he couldn't fall asleep and his parents had to give him a sedative so he could pass out, i think he said he made it something like 3 and a half days.
on that note - i wouldn't recommend sleep derivation as a form of "tripping" in fact i would suggest sleep regularly and pay more attention to your sleep, your dreams are a trip in themselves you're basically self inducing DMT everynight.

Well, I guess that's what you get for ridding your body of sleep... not functioning properly, even on the interwebz, where functioning properly is not easily defined

I'm joining this art debate. How can you say someone else's expression is shit? You have been given insight into another person. That is fascinating in and of itself. When someone is radically different from you it can be difficult to understand their art. When you dismiss someone's work you are narrowing your taste to expression similar to yours.

You can say their expression is shit. But only if said artist claims to spread message X, when people conceive everything but message X from the work!
It might still be interesting to figure out how this 'artist's' brain works, but as art it would have failed in my opinion.
I actually made a thread not to derail this one any further, so far it hasn't been picked up yet though

Sleep deprivation makes me cranky. And yawn all the time.
I enjoy sleeping though. Been having some crazy dreams. I survived a zombie outbreak on my last one first thing I did was establish a fortress by stealing my friend's house

Well maybe you can't truly say it's complete shit universally, because there is no ultimate truth and everything is more or less subjective, but you can certainly say that the work is shit FOR YOU and is completely useless/irrelevant. I think some artists fall in a grey area, you can take time inform yourself and then start to "get" their art and understand it. Then some others are just putting out garbage that's not even worth the time to try.
I have my own examples, I'm sure you have yours as well. From music, painting, any form of art you've looked into, I'm sure there are some artist you just find so bad you just go

Taking it to the other thread, we can now get back to Grigore's (hopefully fast and effective) self-destruction.

That's not always a good thing... like taking amphetamines. Ill raise your dopamine but your going to crash.

I'm no artist but enjoy many forms of art greatly. In my opinion, art is all about the observers perception of the art be it a painting, poem, Broadway show, music, sculpture, whatever.
I sometimes dislike knowing what the creator's inspiration was when it comes to art because it can kind of ruin what I have come up with in my head. Kind of like reading a book VS seeing the movie version.
Half the point of art is making others feel something deeply profound when they view your artwork. Even if it's not what the artist had in mind.
