It looks like you store your bags in boxes?
Is that always , do you provide light for it?

They get whatever light comes through the opaque tubs...not much. In practice, I've seen no need to provide grains with light.

If I didnt need to provide any light really that would be nice so I could box up a bunch of bags for long term storage

I prefer the benefits of mostly still air inside the closed totes to the perceived benefits of light during colonizing.
Plus, those 35 gallons pictured do not block the light 100%.

Thanks guys! Here's more, I can barely keep up, as you can see by how late I got to a couple of these!
When in doubt, draw smiley faces on your caps.
I'm too to bother sorting these out, I don't think you will mind either

First flushes are almost complete...two left I think.

Im doing bags as well right now. Do you keep them in the tubs because you sketch bout contams? Should i put mine in tubs i got em just sitting in the open air.
Oh n, do i gotta wait until the PC returns to room temp for the bags to form a proper vacuum? I have a Presto, and the bags are hard to squeeze in there, so as i was taking one of them out, some air was sucked into the bag and it slightly inflated while it was in complete open air. I should maybe thro those grain out n re PC that bag.
Can i take the bags out the PC as soon as the pressure thing drops and start more or would they not have a vacuum if i did that? Been trying to get these questions answered for a bit lol.

I would like to hear a TC or experienced persons input. Do you ever "rush through" the process or do you allow everything to take its time. Have you ever rushed the process and fucked something up. FH if you want I will delete and repost this question in a new thread as it is a OT.

Do you insert a tyvek sleeve into each bag before PCing? This is important, it will prevent a vacuum and allow GE while the bag cools, the seal formed will be easy to break.

Frank I just started in the world of shroomery and in the future I plan on doing mono-tubs also. I just started my first batch about 3 weeks ago (mexicube) and they're doing great thanks to every ones helpful information. A little slow of a colonizer but oh well. patience is a virtue. Also it looks like your extremely busy with all these tubs. Maybe you should take somebody underneath your wing?

Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering its a feather bed.” ― Terence McKenna

Here's the last two first flushes

These are "John Allen Strain" and I've decided it is my new favorite variety of cube.
Each time I work with it, I always end up with some beautiful and unique looking fruits, and even the crappier pinsets tend to push out some big weight. They don't sporulate very quickly, and just look at those gorgeous caps.
I'm starting the substrate for my next 12 bags of colonized grain, stay tuned for the next tubs
