Saying "yes" too easy..
    #19122066 - 11/11/13 05:55 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

I think it's residue from my Buddhist years.

I tend to be cheerful, care-free, and easy going....but it sometimes gets me into bad situations.

Oh well.

one time i kinda helped a schizophrenic man break into my neighbor's apartment. however, i thought they were roomates, because i've seen him coming from his room before. but, i found out later that my neighbor absolutely did not want anyone at his place while he was gone, and he in fact was not his roommate but just a crazy schizo friend/acquaintance who sometimes steals shit

Yeah, I feel ya OP.

I'll be asked for a favor and in my head I'll be thinking "That would be a lot of work/suck/not fun," yet spit out the word "yes" without hesitation.

Just look to Nietzsche, he knew the danger in happiness.

Quote:

The danger in happiness - Now everything is all right for me; now I love every destiny - Who wants to be my destiny?

I found this to be very true today.

Nietzsche knew what's up.

Maybe I'm just a dick but I don't say yes unless I really want to.

Before you let somebody talk you into doing something for them, carefully consider the pros and cons.
