Agar issues

Hey guys, so I've been having troubles germinating spores (cubes / pans).
Things i have tried yeilding 0 growth and 0 contams:
-swipe from print directly onto agar -with heated utensil made a pool of agar, places spores into liquid-state agar -placing spores on plate then sterile water on top of spores -24 hr hydration in sterile water then transferred to plates/
its been ~1 week since those plates were made
I just did a 72 hr hydration to transfer.
This has yielded me no growth on any plates. Strains I'm working with: AA+, Pan Cambo, and Oak Ridge. Im working with PDA agar, my other plates and cultures are colonizing and transferring fine.
Any tips? I'm trying to figure out why these spores wont germinate
Thanks everyone

How long are you waiting before calling them a failure?
Spores can take 2+ weeks to germinate in some cases.

oh gotcha, It's only been 8 days since the plates were introduced with spores. I'm probably just being impatient.
"PLEASE BE PATIENT, DON'T BE A PATIENT!" applies here most likely.
Is it very common for year old spores to take 2-3 weeks to germ?

For me, if they did not germinate in a weeks time they just did not germinate.
But it is not uncommon for them to take longer, as many people on here can attest to.
