    #19120819 - 11/11/13 02:16 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hello every one, just wondering if these are lbm or magic mushies. I am from the Pacific Northwest and I found them in my old horse pasture. As well as in mossy grass around my house. Thanks so much for peaking,  anything obviously helps me identify them so please any opinions rock,  thanks!

Not Psilocybe semilanceata imo.  They might be a Mycena species.  Wait for a TI or someone with more experience than me though ...

There's been a couple finds of these same mushrooms recently, but I just don't know what to call them. They have the potential to be either Mycena, Galerina or Conocybe.

I haven't found libs myself, but I would suggest you keep your eyes peeled for the distinctive sharp little nipple (acute umbo) on the top of the cap.  The ones you've found don't really have that.  Also, the gills in the mature libs will be much darker than what you have here.  Good luck.

I'm just starting to get a feel for where cyans can be found.  Look in parks where there's a lot of foot traffic and where there are wood chips (mulch) in shady, moist areas, e.g., under shrubs.
