Agar Wedge Inoculation?

On 10-20 I inoculated a grain jar with an agar wedge. The mycelium doesn't seem to be moving through the grains all that quick. I dropped the agar wedge in on top of the grains and have thus far just let it be. Here is a picture of the jar as of today.
It has recovered nicely, but the mycelium seem to not be growing as fast as I had expected. I know when we inoculate a jar we wait till the jar is about 20% colonized before we shake the grains to speed up colonization. I have been waiting for the jar to colonize to about 20% and then I was going to shake it. My question is this. Do I need to wait for the agar to colonize to about 20% before I shake or should I just shake that wedge into the grains? My thoughts are that since the agar has recovered and is growing again that it would be beneficial to shake the agar wedge into the grains because even though it is not at 20% it will help speed up the slow colonization.

I would shake the shit out of that. I generally don't wait that long, once I see a good amount of new growth it gets shaken into the grain.

Correct. After inoculating, let a few dozen kernels get covered and then shake. We wait 20% or so after a grain to grain transfer to get the mycelium established. RR

Can you get a pic of the top of your lid? What's the temperature like in the room?

Thank you StygianKnight and RoggerRabit. I can't get a picture of the top. My operations are a few towns away right now. Recently I had someone who I used to work with threaten to call the cops on my operation. He thought I should just give him a zip and I disagreed. So I moved shop to my brother's. I go to the site that has my operations about 2x a week to do work. I am in contact with my brother on the other days. I post questions I have about how things are doing and then once my posts get an answer I call and give him instructions on what to do ie. shake golden teach agar jar.
The lid is a plane lid with a hole for gas exchange and a synthetic filter disk. The temperature is in the low 50s at night and around 70-80 during the days depending on what the sun wants to do.

If your temperatures are in the 70-80 range for only a short period of time, this could explain the slow colonizing.
