I should be able to pull these items out of the pressure cooker before they completely cool right?

I am pressure cooking  some ziploc twist n loc containers for use as petri dishes.

http://www.ziploc.com/Products/Pages/TwistLocContainers.aspx

My pressure cooker has a tab that drops down when the cooker is no longer under pressure. The manufacturer recommends removing the shake weight for 10 minutes after the pressure tab drops before removing the cover and retrieving the contents of the cooker. Is this okay, or should I just let it sit overnight like I would if it had PF jars?

I know industrial autoclaves have a cooling phase after depressurization, so is that basically comparable to removing the weight for 10 minutes?

I have the PRESTO 16 quart PC. You can see the weight and pressure tab in the photo provided in this link.

I have an All American PC that takes hours to be able to open after cooking and a Presto that I can pull the weight off and watch it drop from 15 to 0 then immediately open it.
