Possible Cyan ID?

Habitat: Found in N.W. WA, in park area along side a building that was mulched in what looked like older alder chips that has moss growing along with some dead leaves etc.
Gills: Color, light greyish brown - lighter at edges and lighter colored on the younger mushrooms.
Stem: Length: 1in-4in, diameter: 1/8th-1/4thin , color white/cream, solid, thick larger at base.
Cap: Diameter: 1in - 3 1/2in, color: brown/tan lighter at edge, texture: silky but not slimy, spherical buttons opening up to larger flatter caps with age, slightly wavy around edges with nipple in the center.
Spore print color: Unfortunately I did not actually pick any to get a spore print, going to go back tomorrow when I'm more equipped to pick them and store them without destroying the mycelium.
Bruising: Did not handle them to produce bruising, the one I did handle I didn't take home with me (stupid, should have!)
Other information: I only took one picture, with my phone - I kind of stumbled across these guys while out walking and wasn't prepared to actually pick or photograph mushies, I plan on going back tomorrow to get better pictures and pick a couple to spore print.

unfortunately with this little info and only this picture it is hard to tell you what that is. I dont think they are cyans though.
-------------------- Favorite quote: I want to know if they are active and magic or not. And if they are not active, can i pick them before they are active and then they will become active or do they have to grow till they activate?

Thank you, I had my doubt as well - as they're not typically found where I'm located at (quite a ways west of the Seattle area.) All I have ever found around here are liberties. Never the less I am going to go back tomorrow and see if I can get some better pictures to share and maybe take one to do a spore print with. They sure were cute little guys, what ever they may be. I also found a BEAUTIFUL fearie circle in neighboring area which I would like to photograph.

Those could be any number of mushrooms, but particularly they may be a Hypholoma species and they may be Psilocybe allenii.
You should go back to them if you have the chance and take some decent closeups including shots of the gills of one, observe for bluing and consider taking a spore print if you'd like to find out.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Thank you Canid, I plan to return to the spot that they're located tomorrow afternoon to do just that! I didn't want to pick any today because I didn't have knife with me to cut them off clean and if they are any of the psilocybe species I did not want to risk destroying the mycelium growth. Luckily they are in a fenced off/locked up area which I tend to visit from time to time and walk around (it's public ground, it's just locked up when not in use) I can slip through the gate though because I'm small LOL. There were a variety of BEAUTIFUL mushrooms all over this area, but most of them were inedible varieties - though there were some great photo opportunities and I was kicking myself left and right for not bringing my camera with me. I will update this post tomorrow evening (hopefully) if I'm not stuck in an awful down poor, which is common where I'm located LOL! But if I can return to the spot tomorrow weather permitting I will be taking some good quality pictures of the patch, as well as individual mushrooms and I will bring at least one home with me to spore print. They didn't look familiar to me, which was the reason why I targeted them out but they're located in a place that gets a lot of cattle traffic in the summer months from all over WA state (horse stables/fairgrounds) therefore there's a high probability that they were carried in from somewhere and planted themselves right where they're at HAHAHA snuggled up in a nice alder mulch tucked in next to a building. Cute little buggers :-)
