Some crazy funny story.
    #19116055 - 11/10/13 05:23 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

So I've been hunting for cyanscens for along time, and I never find any but their look a likes, so I moved on to Psilocybe pelliculosa, Psilocybe semilanceata, and have found Psilocybe silvatica, growing with pelliculosa. I found my first magic mushrooms ever, on the side of a park, growing on lots of wood chips, conifer, and lots of other wood lover nutrients. I didn't think they were magic at first, but they looked like pelliculosa, so the first one I picked to check, I noticed when I pulled it out that on the bottom of the stipe was very noticeable bruising. So I started picking all the ones I could find, they had lightish brown/yellow tops, caps were very small, to meduim sized. Mostly small but then I saw them, I saw these mushrooms all black, somewhat little sized aswell. When I pulled those out there was bruising all over the stipes, more so at the bottoms, very dark until the bottom then it was very noticeably blue. I knew I had seen these before in my research I just couldn't remember the name, I saved them and brought them back and then identified them as Psilocybe silvatica. I made a tea with all of the the pelliculosa while I was identifing the silvatica's, I ended up drinking all of the tea and ate those I got a nice buzz, very calm and smooth, but I wasn't really satisfied for a trip that I want, so I went out at around 1 am to pick some more, but it was to dark I counldn't see anything and I did not have access to a flash light. So I just went around town looking for wood chips by the road lights, I ended up looking up and down streets and then I found them, RIGHT ON church grounds growing in a grassy, manicured area with a bark bed, Psilocybe semilanceata, lots of them growing troops, there was 3 spawns. at first I didn't think much of it but I was going to give it a chance when I got closer I noticed the caps look exactly like dry Psilocybe semilanceata caps, most of them didn't have the tips on the cap though but some did, when I was pulling them out, most of them were blueing at the base of the stipe, the stipe was no more then 2 inches long, with pretty much all of them. After doing some research I identified them as Psilocybe semilanceata, they had gray gills, and all the other features of liberty caps except some of them didn't have the tip on the cap. So I ended up grabbing a handfull of those, before I heard a car stop almost next to me, someone got out, when I looked back to see it said security on the back of his black jacket and he was actually going the other way then me, going after some person that was just walking on the sidewalk, he then noticed me or something and started following me, he eventually gave I guess, but for awhile I could hear someone walking, and coughing behind me, not to close but in hearing distance, I did not look back, I just kept it cool and walked semi quick but not noticeable. Went back home identified them ate half of them, and then listen to music and went to bed it was a pretty big buzz but nothing like when I was kid doing them. Then today I woke up went, out to the same spot that I found those Psilocybe pelliculosa and Psilocybe silvatica. When I went there cause it's sunday and there was alot of people at the church haha, When I was almost finished hunting I had about 5-6 Psilocybe pelliculosa, and about 7 or 8 alright sized silvatica's. Those ones require you to look very close on the ground. When the ground is already kinda darkish, and I mean like on your knees hunting XD. When I was finished I noticed a skull on the ground and I thought I was tripping. Then I noticed it was a coyote skull, a baby coyote skull. The teeth are still very shinny white, the skull isn't that big. I found the rest of it's bones It looked like a dinner plate or plater. litterly they are all just sitting there on top of eachother in a very small circle. I ripped the rest of the skin that was left on the chin of the skull, using my feet. After that I put in a big bag that was mean't for mushrooms. Now it is sitting in my bathroom sink, soaking in water and dish washing soap and I am currently waiting on some iso or rubbing alcohol. I plan on making a necklace out of it. Honestly this is my first time ever finding a psilocybin mushroom and this was an awesome start .

Pictures of the skull are probably comming, but I am not allowed to use the phone for mushrooms as they are the ones taking it and they are getting suspicous. I plan on getting my own camera at the end of the month.

How do you differentiate Psilocybe silvatica from P. pelliculosa?

How do you differentiate a coyote skull from a dog skull?

How old are you?

Ok to start I am 20 years old, differnentiate silvatica from a P.pelliculosa, They are extremely black, The stipe seems to bruise alot more, pelliculosa stipe bruises more so at the very base of it, it has little lines on the cap, which is tannish, light yellowish, The gills are gray, I threw out the ones that had the white gills, that had the same top but was more white then tan, The silvatica had flatish tops and some of them had a little curve but mostly flatish. The silvatica had purple sporeprints, while the p. pelliculosa had purplish brown spore prints. For the coyote skull, well for one it has fang like teeth in the front of the mouth it has 3 other teeth slots from what I see inbetween those fangs, it's skull is long, unlike most dogs. It could be a german sheperd or a husky but I beilieave it's a coyote and the fact that coyotes live in there.

Good news though you want to see the skull? i'll have that uploading in 30 mins the kids eating dinner and this would've been a perfect time to take pictures of the silvatica to cause the moms not home and it's the kid and I could tell him not to tell his mom.

Libs do not grow directly from dung. But perhaps he needs to wash his hands anyway.
