I'm pretty happy with the Gillette fusion. It's a good multi blade razor.
But don't underestimate the value of a good shaving cream. I recently bought the Gillette fusion shaving cream, and find it works WAY better.

I don't know how people can stand using anything but electric.
takes like 5 seconds and you get a super close shave without any nasty creams and chemicals on your face. you can do it dry or just with water

I've never been satisfied with the shave I've gotten from an electric razor.

I have that same exact one. Like chris said tho, it just doesnt do the job right, and if you wait too long it pulls hairs like a mofo.

when the hair gets too long the trick is to use the trimmer on the back first to get it short then it doesn't catch on the hairs
I can't use any kind of gillette razors without them catching on literally every hair.
I have soft baby face skin

Ive always used a proglide. I buy them on sale, and always dry the blade after. I get a babys bum clean shave each time and I seem to keep the razors for a very long time. Shaves nice and quick
But those safety razors are intriguing!

Same here they just don't get the job done. I have tried many different kinds too, expensive shit even, just no good for me.

Electric razors fuck my shit all up. They are like running a mulcher over my neck, then ingrown hairs like a motherfucker. They don't work for everyone.

Yea, I definitely wouldn't use one if that were the case. I like electrics for normal day-to-day but I have a duel razor for when I want to look nice.

I use witch hazel, it really helps with stopping bumps and ingrown hairs.
I've been shaving with a double edge safety razor for about 6 years. I'll never go back to commercial million blade razors (cept for shaving the balls, single blade razors on balls is dangerous... I've never even attempt it.). It's a hell of a lot cheaper and works just as well, if not better. I get 100 razors for $35 and they each have two cutting edges.
This is the way to go:

Edit: there's a whole thread about double edge safety razor shaving: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/9906371
I have a couple of old Gillette safety razors that I have been packing around for a bit. I think they came from my great grandfather. Always though, they were interesting but I never intended to use them.

Thanks for the info Gumby. I'll have to give them a try now.

I have a Gillete Fusion, it works well enough. You can make each razor head last twice as long as they normally would too(which is a big deal considering how expensive they are.) When the blade starts to 'dull,' it's not actually dulling, it's just creating very small warps and bubbles along the blades. This makes for an uneven surface and a very difficult shave.
Put a pair of jeans on, put your razor on your thigh and push it downwards towards your knee a few times. This will smooth the blades back out and they will feel almost as good as new. Try it some time, it works.
Just to clarify, you aren't trying to shave your pants. Push it the opposite way as if you were shaving your face.

That's what I use when I actually shave, it works pretty good IMO.
I just bought this one a month or so ago and I hate it, it makes my neck break out like highschool all over again for some reason. Only reason I still use it is cuz I'm a broke ass mofo.
It makes my skin ultra-smooth, I never break out from it, you might be allergic to something in the moisturizer.

I use 2 blade disposable Gillette razors with this shaving cream:

I used to not shave because of super sensitive skin but now I can shave with almost any razor
When I have the money I'm going to get a $300 cut throat
