casing experiement . . would this work?

hey, im colonizing some PF jars right now (4) and i want to experiement with some casing.

i figured i could devote one jar to this, and contine the regular PF procedure with the other three jars (this being my first grow)

so, i was reading the 50/50 casing tek and here is my idea (btw, this needs to be discreet so thats why its a small scale)

taking a brownie pan (glass, about the dimensions of a sheet of paper), putting a thinn layer of moist verm on the bottom..then would i cover this with my colonized BRF? then i guess i would put some oven sterilized verm/peat moss mix over this, cover with plastic...and wait to colonize. am i missing something?

ive read the teks, and this is kinda a mix of a bunch of them, so i want to know if it would work.

ps, what do you think i should do when it starts pinning? just take the plastic off? how would i cover this (would i need to?)

You can case one cake but a brownie pan would be way to big. Think more along the lines of a small tupperware container. Casing one cake isn't really that useful, but if you just want to experiment and try it out, it couldn't hurt.

see the  Sea of Shrooms method   :smile:
note; jiffy mix is just 50/50 peat verm  with lime added . it's realy easy to make your own .

you can get mini loaf aluminum pans that work very good for single cakes.

my bud used 2 liter bottles with the tops cut off for 1 cake casings

well tats what im using for my PF cakes, the 2l bottle method...

sigh..one of my jars is contam'd. :'( i guess ill just stick to the conventional method and try casing next time around.

or who knows, maybe ill find some tupperware or something if you guys think its easy enough
