Do you know Mary Jaggers? Because she’s no drinking buddy of mine, not after the shit she pulled at Artie’s Sportsman Lounge.
According to the local ABC affiliate in Miami, Jaggers is currently facing legal troubles after calling 911 emergency services six times because people were drunk at a bar. Yes, court documents claim that she asked police to arrest everyone inside Artie’s.
Now, the Broward County woman, who made her first appearance in court on Tuesday, is looking at charges related to abusing an emergency service as well as possession of hydrocodone, which, ed. note, is a lot of fun. Her defense is that she didn’t want anyone to drive home drunk.
Circuit Court Judge John Hurley put two and two together pretty quickly on this one: “I have a feeling that the mixture between Artie’s Bar and the hydrocodone probably led to … the calling of the 911.”Do you know Mary Jaggers? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people." --- Robert Pirsig - "When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion." --- Brian Cox - "[One] problem with today’s world is that everyone believes they have the right to express their opinion AND have others listen to it. The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense."
