do you guys think that using a toilet paper tek or grow log inoculated with psilocybe azurescens would fruit under the right conditions? and would it be easier or harder than an outdoor grow?

There's only a couple documented cases of growing azurescens indoors. They need to be outside.

Harder than an outdoor grow since the spores are from outdoors you'll have contams and azures don't fruit indoors I know it's been documented but as far as I know never reproduced. sorry

You definitely would be able to get a clean dish of azure myc. You could even get fully colonized spawn, but to fruit azures need to be outside.

Is the reason temp control or symbiosis with some bacteria or something else? I guess at this point it's just curiosity.

Nobody's really sure about that. I think it's going to be a lot of documented, failed attempts before we figure that one out. Give your toilet paper idea a whirl, but don't expect it to succeed, and let us know what happens.

I've heard of people using an old fridge to produce the cold snap that azures need to fruit.

Its not just the cold snap, I'm pretty sure it also has to do with beneficial bacteria in the soil. If you look around you can find a couple attempts at indoor azures, and even experienced growers get little if any results.

If it involves beneficial bacteria, then couldn't you just mix in some soil from outside? I would love to get to the bottom of azures hesitance to fruit indoors. I mean, what if it was something as simple as adding some bacterial spawn to the grow medium and azures became as easy to grow indoors as cubes! I know it's unlikely, but the thought is exciting. Haha.

i've tried alot of shit, never worked,, even as far as mixing with pre established myc from a patch that was being torn apart (this was with cyans though) i give it a 1 out 100 chance

Wow, that sucks. It just goes to show that all we're doing is attempting to reproduce a miracle of nature in our synthetic conditions.
