How to overcome adrenaline anxiety?

Today I tried to illegally climb a very high telephone tower with some friends. Halfway through I got a very very intense adrenaline rush and started shaking. I couldn't grip the bar very well because of my sweating and shaking. As a result i got some mad anxiety which made it even worse. Eventually I slowly got down and didn't make it.... I'm very disappointed in my self...

Maybe your body was trying to tell you it was a bad idea. Nothing wrong with that, think of it as a safety feature.

Fear of heights? Also isn't climbing a telephone poll a bad idea? So it's natural to have anxiety about it

Try again, maybe with some breathy grippy gardening gloves. I used to be afraid of heights but that was when I was 8. Rock climbing, is awesome for that; helps to know that your securely tied to an incredibly strong rope if you do fall.

It was 40 meter telephone transmiter or something. We did it to sit on the top and enjoy the view.

Breath your way through it and chill take your time and stay positive don't freak. Wear gripy gloves tight shoes. I have had a habit of doing stupid shit like that for fun and work. This photo was in my bosses work shop saw it the first day then quickly realized why its up on the wall. We ended up in some interesting precarious spots.

Hah. Thanks man. This post really helps. Should I tie some kind of climbing rope next time around my waist just to be safe?

Well yeah a harness and beaner would be good. So you can hook in and take breaks and relax.. btw I'm not condoning your actions or promoting you climbing on private property. Just trying to help you overcome that fear/anxiety. Even people in the professions when green freeze up. Be lucky that you were able to get yourself down. Maybe climb some cliffs or trees instead?

I just do it and don't think about it an if I fall and die well then fuck it. It's just like the psychedelic experience, surrender to it and you'll enjoy the beauty up there.
I did something similar the other day but it wasn't as high and it was for work.

I could have sworn NWlight posted about what you'd need a beaner for, and I was thinking of a good mexican comment. I tried to quote but it wasn't working so I refreshed and his post vanished

I do that a lot.
Corporal is referencing a "carabiner" but he called it a "Beaner" so I made a stupid comment and then realized it was stupid after I posted it.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that. I've gone back and edited a lot of my posts to essentially 'delete' them before.
Thanks!
