Can somebody ID these Cacti please
    #19114547 - 11/10/13 12:03 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hi, I'm a complete novice when it comes to cacti, but i saw these in a shop today and they caught my eye, wondering if somebody could let me know if they were 'magical'.... i know its a long shot

Asked the women but her knowledge was also limited to 'they are small young ones, and that is a big old one' so if somebody could please enlighten me....

Thanks

Sorry mate, they don't contain mescaline, but they can still be "magical" if you imagine the high deserts and andes valleys from which they originate

I'm not sure what to call the two columnar species in the 1st photo, the one on the right is Astrophytum ornatum. The large one is a Cereus sp. None are psychoactive.

the columnar in the front first pic looks like a young Neoraimondia herzogiana, the furry one i don't know, maybe Oreocereus?
