Plastic Half Pinters Questions/Concerns

A few noob questions, I'm about to go buy 5 or so plastic (ziploc) half pint wide mouth tupperware and am going to innoc them at the same time as 5 tall regular glass half pinters. I want to test which colonizes faster and gives me less trouble.
1. Anyone had success steam sterilizing plastics?
2. For steam sterilization, when I put (plastic or glass) jars into the pot, am I not supposed to let the bottom of the water touch the jars?
3. What is the fastest/simplest way to clone spores so I don't have to buy another spore syringe? I have no PC so most LC's wouldn't work.
4. During steam sterilization, I put the micropore tape on prior to steaming correct?

plastic ziploc containers work fine. most are pp5 which are microwave and dishwasher safe and safe in the pressure cooker and steam sterilized as well. i'm putting money on the plastic containers colonizing faster, i have personally used both and after using the plastic tupperware dishes i'm not going back to glassware for brf.

Good to hear, I'll take pics of both in my log and timestam the progress. Should I just drive a nail through for the basic 4 hole innoc points on my plastic half pinters?

Eh, you might crack the lids. I'd heat up the nail and burn a hole through.

dont drill or burn holes in plastic lids, its not needed, just loose the screw top. most of the violet tekkers do not alt lids.

I didn't have to heat them up just use a small nails and something like a board to brace against. Btw your experiment won't have true results using a multi spore
