My mindset? I don't share the mindset of a rapist or a thief or a murderer. But such people exist, have always existed and always will exist. How will you as an anarchist deal with them?

As for the likelihood of you having to obtain things you cannot find or manufacture yourself, that is a 100% certainty regardless of my (or anyone's) mindset. There isn't a human on the planet who can construct an eraser-tipped pencil from scratch, for example, let alone things you use constantly which are for more complicated than pencils.

I'll let you put your mind to work on those facts of life for a while. Get back to us when you're ready.

right, and being somewhat educated with these types of things, you also realize that every single thing you just mentioned was only granted after countless massacres, riots, strikes and protests. These things were all implemented to keep the peace

Only my example of worker safety laws could fall under that description of yours. The rest of my examples were all implemented through peaceful legislation.

?!?!?!?! When the Federal Reserve raises and lowers interests rates, this does not have a big affect on the economy? Do you read the papers?

These "little modifications" are programs which give hundreds of billions of dollars to poor and old Americans in the form of goods or services.

EXACTLY. In a capitalist society there is competition. With competition comes efficiency. With efficiency comes cheap prices and hence prosperity. With prosperity comes a high standard of living.

Incorrect. Capitalism refers to a political system in which the government is forbidden any power over the economy.

ive run out of patience playing cat and mouse with you.

since you obviously know more about this than myself, and any of my sources, I think you should start writing letters to

http://www.summit.org/resource/dictionary/

http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Capitalism

http://www.answers.com/topic/capitalism

http://www.fast-times.com/dictionaryca-cl.html

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism

which ALL STATE VERBATIM:

"capitalism refers to an economic system in which all or most of the means of production are privately owned and operated..."

to complete it, "determined mainly in a free market, rather than by the state. In capitalism, the means of production are generally operated for profit."

so yes, it does involve a free market. but regardless, your blatant pugilism discredits your nitpicked, arbitrary arguments.

why should this burden of proving everything i say fall on me, while you can just poke a finger out of its hole and declare bullshit, then moving on to the next leftist statement?

Imperialism is us establishing friendly governments, policies, markets and military bases on foreign soil for the sake of exanding our political power, our economy and our military control. Capitalism is us making money off the aforementioned tasks.

Fuck rationality and arguments...we could go round and round forever.

What it really boils down to is the lack of compassion, love and respect for each other in the world.

It's not my fault you choose sources that fit your agenda. Capitalism is that socio-political system in which the government has no power over the economy. Wikipedia is notoriously unreliable as a source. Take any political science course if you want to know what Capitalism is. Under Capitalism, it's not "all or most of the means of production are privately owned and operated...", but ALL of the means of production. By the way, two of the five links you provided do not say "verbatim" that "all or most" of the means of production is privately owned.

This isn't a new concept, by the way. I'm not making this up. It's just that the Leftist influence these days is so pervasive that an astonishingly large percentage of people discussing Capitalism (and even many of those attempting to provide definitions for it) have no idea what it is.

Quote:

Imperialism is us establishing friendly governments, policies, markets and military bases on foreign soil for the sake of exanding our political power, our economy and our military control.

No, that's sensible foreign policy. Imperialism is the act of conquering other nations and running them as colonies of the home nation. See Rome, England, Portugal, Spain, France and many others as exemplars.

So, is government-aided forced privatization seen as still being capitalism?

riiiightt.. those sources ranging from such leftist sources as Wikipedia and Reference.org, which are both fronts for communist revolutionary movements, in the form of mundane word definitions.

I don't remember citing Lenin, Marx or the forum-favorite Chomsky.

if admitting that there is an unequal spread of wealth in this country puts me far out on the left wing, then I dont want to be right (ok, pun intended)
