1 liter Everclear soaking 36g Mushrooms

Without doing much research, I crushed 36g into about tea-level material and dumped it into a bottle with 1 liter of Everclear. Upon further investigation, it appears without use of heat, Everclear is terrible for extractions.
My Plan:
- Separate Mushrooms from liquor
- (3x) Brew 333ml of Everclear with mushrooms in dbl boiler, 140-150f for 1-2 hrs(?)
- Brew 350ml water with mushrooms in same manner, gathering remaining water-soluble goodies.
- Reduce tincture down to ~750mls for easy storage and dosing(1 shot=2.1g) using a fan or low-heat
Does this seem like a viable way to make a strong, inconspicuous, long lasting extraction? And should I do this brewing process now having soaked the mushrooms for 2 days, or in 3 weeks just before I leave town with them?
This immediate batch is going to be ingested after a 1500 mile journey at room temp, but I have plenty more that I would be willing to brew into this recipe if its long lasting. [Or I might just make myself some chocolates for freezing.]

Yeah, you're making this way more complicated that it needs to be - 190 proof alcohol will extract everything you need at room temp with a little agitation. Your "step 3" makes no sense if you do "step 2", it's a waste of time.

I've heard opposing opinions on if heat is required. The most recent of them suggested without heat it doesn't work that well?

Do not heat high-proof alcohol on a gas range, even if it's in a double boiler.

Ever clear works wonders for creating Psilocybin Tincture. PF Fanaticus among others created a tek on how to do it. It's quite simple and is the only way I take mushrooms now. Essentially no nausea. It's what I imagine a Psilocybin pill would feel like.

And do you use heat? Have you ever tried it without heat?
Shelf life also has yet to be discussed.

shelf life of psilocybin tincture extracted using 190 proof or above liquor should be years upon years if not decades if kept sealed and in a relatively cold environment.

I'm sorry if I came off as being impatient. I have been at the Shroomery since 2009 but mostly lurking. Lost access to my old account and it wasn't worth the hassle of recovering the password this time.
But I have seen very different opinions on if Everclear soaking alone, without heat, works. Some posts I found said "wasted plenty of mushrooms trying this" and little proof that it works, whereas applying heat supposedly works wonders..but in this thread I've been told its overkill. Just trying to get a definitive answer.

Its not an opinion based issue - it works and it works even better with agitation, anyone suggesting otherwise either did something else wrong or is confused. Adding an antioxidant such as EDTA or citric acid could also be added during extraction which may extend life in longterm liquid storage.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) added in one gram per expected gram of psilocin/psilocybin will help extraction and add resistance to oxidation. Be sure to use a heavy gas like CO2 or butane to displace the air in the bottle and keep it in the fridge. It will keep for decades like this.
