Doc 34's WBS X FH Simple coir

My idea for this month is to get tubs going using Doc 34s WBS tek: http://www.shroomery.org/9030/Doc34-s-Wild-Bird-Seed-Tek
I have 16 syringes and prints of my own Burma strain so I am not going to do G2G and risk contam, I am just going to inoculate all the grain jars then after colonization I am going to spawn it to franks simple coir tek: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17325780#17325780
Sound like a good idea? Any recommendations? I believe this would produce quick yields.

I don't follow. How does this reduce risk of contams? did the mushroom you took the print from grow in sterile conditions? was the print taken in sterile conditions?

The only contam I ever got G2G was in a recieving jar that was cracked and I never noticed until I saw bacteria forming all along the crack. Otherwise I find G2G a lot safer than any syringe.

The reason I personally feel this will reduce con tams ( and I would like your second opinion's but I don't have a flow hood, I could build a SAB like Transcendinglifes tek, and probably will in the future, but I have 16 syringes all Cubes, direct from a sponsor, so I would Like to just inoculate say 8 wbs jars instead of doing the transfer, I am still nube so I would like to start Monos with simple coir but I guess i just feel safer knocking up 6-8 WBS jars per tub with self sealing injector ports to kind of skip G2G until I get a 100% effective SAB built, or flow hood.
Any advice or comments are appreciated.
Thank You kindly EB

you should have a sab for inoculation as well. g2g is king. syringes are boring and slow

Well you should be able to do about 20-30 jars per syringe, so you will be using them 16 syringes for a while. But limiting genetics is usually a good thing, so what most people prefer to do is knock up 6 jars or so, then G2G the fastest/healthiest looking ones. Cuts down on how many strains you will have competing in your monotub and might result in better results.
A good SAB is a must for agar work, so you will eventually want to get one so you can get into that. I recommend to save a couple drops from each variety so that you can knock up plates for ms grows and clone from them.

I have a pretty poorly built one right now and limited time, I am planning on building one like Transcending life but this whole thread was for a quick project for this month, I suppose it is just a good time to get into G2G I suppose I could just get a solid SAB built and start now.
