You see I was a bit frustrated when a few quart jars did not fully colonized leaving that 10% of WBS at the bottom of the jars turning dark color.  So I was thinking maybe they are too cold inside the incubation cardboard box???  But I had a fish tank heater in there so the temp should be fine around 74F.  Then I read here somewhere about months ago that myc. will not be affected by light by the window because some growers still believed that you need complete darkness for the myc. to colonize.
Reading this I did an experiment just to see who is right either complete darkness or filtered sunlight under the warm window inside my spare room.  The reason for the filtered sunlight was too much light will be too hot but not enough light will defeat the purpose of this experiment.  So I put them on partial filtered sunlight to see how they will react.  It was only 3-4 hours around 3 to 5 pm of filtered sunlight by adjusting the blinds so only 20% direct sunlight hit these jars during the day time.  Right now all of them are fully colonized except one that some of the WBS fell off to the bottom of the jar.  But still good to see them all colonized.  Now I don't know which jar have the black WGS anymore.  They all look the same now at 100% colonization.  So next time if any jars stalled I will do this again just to see if I am right.  Experiment is only good if every outcome has the same result, right.
You can put one or 2 jars to see what is the result.
