Sup Pub!
Could someone help me understand how there can be laws in wars? I cannot comprehend how anyone can decide what to do in WARS where you kill your FELLOW MAN?! I understand that it's there so that people don't "mistreat" prisoners of war, and kill innocents, lol. But people who battle doesn't follow the laws, I think these laws make it easier to treat wars as some sick game for the high and mighty.
What's your opinion pubbers? Am I mad? Are you mad? Is Obama mad? Is the whole world mad?
tl;dr what the fuck is up with laws of war

Yeah its odd. You'd think killing eachother would be the end of the line. On the other hand there's many a worse line beyond killing

Laws in wars aren't actually practiced in reality.
Especially in the middle eastern conflicts right now. What can an individual grunt do when you have the enemy who can blend into the civilian population and who wear clothes that can hide an RPG tube how do you know who the enemy is?
The only solution to their occupation is to kill everybody aged 18-50. So that's what they're doing. I'm still awaiting George Bushes war crime trials by the way.

- No biological weapons: there is nothing to gain from sick people
- No nuclear weapons: There is nothing to gain from a destroy part of the land you cannot use because of radiation
- No chemical weapons: There is nothing to gain if everybody is dead
- Don't kill if you can take prisoner: save lives
- Don't mistreat prisoners: treat them like humans
Just plain old espionage, sabotage, strategy and tactics.
Makes sense when you think about it

- No nuclear weapons,
Yet every country keeps clamoring to build larger and deadlier fighter jets which drop essentially the same kind of weapon when used on a dense population area.
- No chemical weapons,
Have been used in the last decade in middle eastern conflicts by all sides many times already.
- Don't kill if you can take prisoner,
Practiced only when information extraction will be valuable
- Don't mistreat prisoners.
