It won't matter if your spawn is fully colonized and clean. Spawning is not a clean process anyway

so I really should tape the holes up? if I do will I need to put them in a bag still? I thought if I knocked a few spawn bags up, put them in a mini mono and add a few bags of 50/50 and just put it in a bag and tie the bag up so theres no FAE only co2 it would start re colonizing fine. I can't see the difference between the two, other than the co2 build up would take longer.

damn, I just realized I didn't wipe the injection spot down before I injected it, I flame sterilized the needle in between bags and wore gloves and washed hands with rubbing alcohol after touching anything, am I screwed because I didn't wipe the injection spot?

Now you're going to get us all bickering about whether or not you should be wiping down the injection site.
As to whether or not you're screwed: probably not, unless the injection site was covered in moldy shit...but I'm going to go ahead and guess at least four people will disagree.
I say the collective noun for Shroomerites is a "disputation". If you ask a disputation of Shroomerites their opinion in any subject, you're likely to get at least 18 different responses explaining the Actual Right Way of Doing Things, most of them conflicting. I say wiping down your injection site with alcohol before stabbing it with your red-hot needle is a Good Idea, but not the end of the world if you forget.

sorry man, I took the picture on my iphone, and the bags kept glaring.
I'm glad to hear you say it's looking normal.
- I'm just afraid by missing a sanitizing step the bags were a sure failure.

Don't talk economics on the boards. People here grow for science and as a hobby. I personally burn whatever fruits I can't eat myself.

one bag has brown liquid the size of a dime quarter in the corner of the bag, you can see it smudged against the bag.

and heres how all the other bags are looking,

maybe my minds just looking for something wrong, but that white just doesn't look healthy.

The white is definitely the good stuff. The brown is suspect--could be bacterial slime. Could we get a macro shot of it?

I'd just let it sit and see if it grows. If it does, contact your vendor. As far from the injection port as that is, there isn't really any possibility of user error. They will almost certainly send you another without complaint, especially if you show them the picture.
