Oh WOW!!!!!
After watching this video I feel no sympathy for the kid being shot dead.
He almost KILLED SOME ONE running that red light!
The dad calling the cops on his own son was actually a wise decision, I think.

He was distraught, distraught people do retarded fucking things.  Had his dad not called the police on him, I doubt he'd have even sped to his cigarettes.

Well, life is tough sometimes.  If this kid got distraught over his dad not buying him a pack of cigarettes then he would surely get distraught over something else in the near future, I reckon.

Well that's what happens when you're 16 and you're a dumbass I guess.  However I'm sure if his father had waited a bit the vehicle would have returned safely.

Really?  That seems like quite a leap of faith to be sure of that.
Obviously, the dad felt like he was not in control of his son at all, otherwise he wouldn't have called the cops.
IF the vehicle had returned safely, then good for the vehicle.
The fact would still remain that the kid didn't learn his lesson.
Of course, I wish the kid had survived and had the ability to change.
But what's done is done.

When you ram cop cars, the cops shoot you.  That is what they are supposed to do.  The cops followed procedure in this case.  I hope the cop that did the shooting enjoys his paid vacation, though it probably won't be very vacation-like.

Well, considering he wasn't speeding or driving erratically until after two police vehicles pulled up behind him, I'm willing to bet once the kid had gotten his cigarettes and vented an hour, he would have probably returned home.

Exactly why you don't call the police on your kid to teach them a lesson.  Cops aren't there to teach your sons lessons, they're their to enforce laws in the most stringent of manners, and if your son has an issue with acting out against authority, expect him to be completely neutralized.

Almost forgot to mention, if your kid hasn't learned a lesson, you should teach it to him.  I would beat my kid if he stole my car.  Obviously parents are afraid to raise a hand against their almost adult children... Nothing wrong with hitting a 16-18 year old if they deserve it (stealing a car, burning a house down, beating an old woman, etc.) they can defend themselves, they should know better not to get themselves beat.  Reserve spanking for 10 year olds.

I  just watched that video.  He wasn't shooting the engine, he was shooting the kid.

the cop aslo says "we got shots fired"  which implies that the cop is under attack, when the only one firing the shots was the cop.

Pretty murdery finishing move if I say so myself.

The video doesn't prove that.

No.  "we got shots fired" means the cops fired their guns.  It's protocol to report when a cop fires their gun.

Is that an F 350? How the hell are you going to shoot the engine out of that thing with a pistol?

The kid should have just pulled over, why did he try to out run the cops?
Honestly at first I was on the kids side (without watching the video) then I watched the video and I say the kid is pretty fucking reckless and honestly made a lot of bad choices. He could have easily killed someone, I'm siding with the cops on this one.

You can't just expect to be able to ram cop cars and speed through traffic endangering everyone else and then bitch because the cops tried to end it.

Sorry kid, better luck next life hopefully experiences pass over and that kid learned something. I'm not happy he died but fuck what do you expect the outcome to be in that situation?

He would of never did that crazy shit if the police weren't after him though.

What the kid did was stupid, reckless and dangerous. The shots fired were justified...but what a shitty situation..

you cant say that. plenty of people do crazy shit when the cops arent
after him, the cops never hit the sirens until he started running, all the
boy had to do was stop and pull off to the side of the road instead of
running put instead he posed a serious danger to the public and then to the
cops trying to arrest him and he wasnt shot until the cops were out of
their cars, trying to approach the truck and he once more plowed into one
of the cars... that in it's self is an attempt to kill someone

the kid stole a truck because someone didnt want to buy them smokes, what kind of logic are you using to assume that this kid wouldnt have done some stupid shit if the cops weren't there

I do feel like they probably could have pinned the car and pulled him out.  Had that failed however, then he was truly a risk to the public.  I feel the cop could justify his actions.  I probably would have tried to get him out of the car without killing him tho.

I'm not saying the dude didn't have issues, but I doubt he meant for it to escalate on how it did and he started to freak out. He probably took the truck just to go get a pack of cigs with a fake id or something.

His dad should of just bought him cigs, he would of gotten them one way or the other like kids do.
