Has anybody here ever met any celebrities?

I never have, but apparently when the movie The Good Shepherd was being filmed, Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro and I guess the whole film crew were given accommodations at my church. I didn't think much of this rumor at the time, but now I see on IMDB that a scene was filmed in the town that my church is in.

My old nanny was the masseuse for the seahawks so I've met a lot of old NFL stars like Shaun Alexander. I've also met Chris Rock and bill gates.

Served Christopher Walken at a restaurant I worked at. Good tipper.
Sat next to Scott Hamilton (U.S. Olympic gold medalist figure skater) on a flight many years ago. Cool guy, let me play his Sega Game Gear.
Talked with Chubby Checker for 10 minutes or so. He lived next to my aunt and I knocked on his front door. He was really nice but his butler was a dick.
Met Doug Stanhope and tried to get him to smoke DMT with me and a couple other Shroomerites. He declined.

I was thinking of asking him how the special effect look so real.
Should I?

I've met Eddie Murphy outside a nice restaurant in LA. He walked off after a cloud of my tobacco smoke hit him in the face
I hung out with the real Marla Singer from the Fight Club movie. Well, the real woman whom that character was based off of. She had hepititis and was struggling to make cash so I donated her my acoustic guitar. Every time I visit Venice Beach I try to find her.

I know there is someone that is looking for someone who wants to be in a new movie, he's been walking around asking people if they wish to sign up to be involved in a movie much greater than they. A movie that has been given ratings higher than any other movie ever created before it, and once it was created nothing ever was nearly as good as this.
Noone talks alot about this movie though, not many people will even know that it came out 30 years before its remake was released a year or so later I believe. Though the movie wasn't released without first getting permission from the director in charge, who had been dictating motion pictures for atleast 14 years.
He also had a connection which he recently lost with a poland merchant whom came out to New York to shoot a pepsi commercial but then realizing at the last second that he wanted to play golf with Freddy Mercury, since he discovered that he recently was revived from the grave and received some sprinkling by a benevolent god in for a laugh.
Well I wanted to watch some movie but noone gave me any advice to point me in the direction that would enable me to retrieve a sense of gratification from the film for it had no effect on my emotions. Some movies are much more moving than others, thus usually always are the first ones I pick to see.

I don't know for sure, but I may have met Ron Livingston at a Furthur concert... Either that or someone who looked and sounded just like him. I told him he looked just like the main character from Office Space and he kinda laughed and smiled, but I was on acid and didn't really think it coulda been him until I came down later that night... I think it was him.

Celebrities are usually stupid. The only celebrities I am interested in meeting are people who can actually have a intellectual conversation with me like Serj Tankian or Maynard Keenan. Fuck meeting James Franco or Lindsay Lohan. Most celebrities aren't very smart at all.

My uncle used to own New York city and thus had complete ownership of the Yankees. He took control of the team and kicked the old manager of the team out of his group, because he had a group that went ahead and took the initiative and decided to call his wife and inform her that he no longer would guide the yankees decisions any longer. He removed all his rights to ever dictate a move concerning the Yankees, so if he tried to prevent me from taking over the team it wouldn't work.
Sometimes we realize we use to own a team but then recently lost it, we might forget that we owned it but then gave it away suddenly, maybe it will be without us even deciding it for ourselves and instead something else deciding for us, and because we try to restrain ourselves from apprehending the notion that the division in our teams is relative to the structure of our dna.

I don't like James Franco, but he's a PhD candidate at Yale, so pairing him with Lohan and calling him stupid is a bit undeserved.

yeah after a show
Well we chatted with him a bit after the show, got our pics taken, etc.
One of my buddies invited him to come do the DMT thing with us. He then announced to everyone in the club "HEY, THIS GUY HAS DMT! WHERE'S THE GUY WHO ASKED ME ABOUT TRYING DMT EARLIER!?"
Apparently some kid had met Stanhope before the show and asked him about DMT.
Anyway, Stanhope introduced us to the kid and we met him afterwards in the parking lot. My buddy gave him his "Machine" and some DMT for free.

Haha yeah it did. The kid was blown away by the generosity. And probably subsequently blown away by the DMT.
Definitely see Stanhope if you ever get a chance! We made a 10 hour round-trip to see him, and it was totally worth it.
The man loves his fans, too! He goes out of his way to take pictures with the weirdos who come to see him

I met Noble Willingham, becaause my brother was married to his daughter. He was the old man who owned the bar in 'Walker Texas Ranger' and was also in 'Good Morning Vietnam' and was the Sheriff in 'Fire In The Sky' and a lot of other movies. He got paid $25K for each episode of Walker Texas Ranger. Fuck.
And I met Janet Demay who was one of the actresses in Remington Steele because that was his GF.

I've met Serj a few times. His brother used to be an employee of mine. Serj has no sense of humor about the Armenian genocide, though.

Seriously...Jews are pretty sensitive about holocaust jokes, too.
The floor tile is done, but the wife wanted to do it first even though it means waiting until tomorrow to do the wall tile. I explained to her that we could do it last and let it all set overnight....
In the end, however, rationality and efficiency were set aside in order to appease her need to see the floor in place in to decide where the deco tiles would go.

from age 14-17 i played ice hockey with the owner of the NJ Devils NHL organizations' son. his father was the owner of the team, went to his house, blew coke off his marble bathroom.
when i was 17 i dropped outta high school, moved to canada to play 21 paid ice hockey in the Ontario Hockey League for the Kitchener Rangers. My head coach was Pete Debour, who is now head coach of the NJ Devils NHL oganization.
About 10-15 kids on my team went on to play in the NHL. Bunch of them on the Nashville Predators, Washington Capitals, NY Rangers, Anaheim Ducks (Bobby Ryan, from my organization in NJ, his father called my house when i was younger to get me to go play in canada for the owen sound attack), also my goalie went on to win rookie of the year in the NHL the next year, Steve Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
i was the real deal, 6'5 255 and talented to boot. Pete Debour told me i could play in the league, that i had the best set of hands on a big man since mario lemieux (no lie)
idk if professional athletes count as "celebs" like you're saying, no rock stars, but yea, when i fucked that up, i came back to NJ and became a heroin addict.
edit: shit i forgot, a buddy of mine got me on set of a Cannibal Corpse video as a production assistant. all the guys were cool as hell, it was freezing but it was cool, they all played ice hockey, they're from buffalo, NY apparently.
here's the video, in the beginning scene the kid running with the backpack is my buddy eric. i was going to be a zombie, but they got some other dude to put on the makeup instead, i was pissed.

When I was really young I met Sigourney Weaver and she said I had the most amazing eyes she's ever seen. Also got some acting lessons from Bruce Greenwood way back in the day for an elementary school talent show.
I've met Bill Nye and had dinner with him, also depending what you consider "celebrity" I've met and had dinner with Jim Bell whose a celebrity in the Science world.

Me and mom with Kevin Spacey in September at US Open

I met Michael J. Fox in England when I was in high school. I met Boy George at Heaven in London. I see Wolf Blitzer, David Brooks and justice John Roberts at the supermarket occasionally.
The congressman who Colbert got to say "I like cocaine and prostitutes because they're a fun thing to do" lives down the street.
This guy was one of my sister's best friends in high school. I don't really remember him, she is 10 years older than me.
I went to high school with a bunch of kids who's parents were famous, mainly media and politicians types. Ted koppel's kid was a total disaster.
Oh, I met Matt stone and trey Parker when I went to see Book of Mormon. We had standing only tickets, and they stood right next to us during the show, watching it like we were.
My mom is friends with the owner of the buffalo bills, and she met OJ Simpson at the superbowl a few months before he went nuts.

When I worked at the Groundling theatre, I regularly worked with:
Kathy Griffin Lisa Kudrow Patrick Bristow Mike Hitchcock Julia Sweeney Ali Wentworth
Some you may have heard of, others are probably lesser known celebrities.
I toured with Billy Joel and met his ex wife several times
I was once taken off of a job because I made fun of Jerry Seinfeld and he overheard it.
I've met lots of random actors on movie, tv, and theatre sets, including:
Gene Hackman Billy Bob Thornton Gary (drug a)Busey John Lithgow Don Cheadle Sylvester Stallone
I have Charlie Manson's autograph, and my cousin was a playboy centerfold, too.

Robert Di Nero's grandma lived two houses down from me (and in the same two family home as one of my childhood friends), but I don't think I even ever saw the guy. Maybe like once when I was a little kid and I didn't even know what the fuck an actor was.
That's the closest I've been.
I've met people that are "celebrities" in the sense that they are a big deal in the scene they are involved in, but they aren't celebrities to every day people.

My wife has been on Law and Order a bunch of times, although I wouldn't exactly call her famous. She did some stuff on Oz, and a few other random shows, and a voice over on Family Guy. It was enough that my health insurance was through the screen actors guild for a couple years. They played a clip of her on the Soup once because she had some ridiculous line about something being stuck in the victim's hoohoo.

I was at a festival selling water in the woods, all fucked up on acid. This guy walks up and starts shooting the shit with me, toss him a water. I ask him if he is going to be at Pretty Lights later, and that we'd be over there trying to keep people hydrated and safe. He said "Yea, I hope so!(Hope I'll be there)"
As he walked away I said to my girlfriend standing next to me "Hey, that guy was pretty cool look for him at Pretty Lights and we'll toss him a water"
My girlfriend looked at me, laughed, and said "Babe... that WAS Pretty Lights"
MFW I asked Pretty Lights if he was gonna be at Pretty Lights later

Yes.
I met Kerri Russell when she came in to buy something at the Walgreen's® I worked at in high school. I guess she used to live in the same town I grew up in and went to a High School over here.
She was on some show called "Felicity" and did some other movies and shit, nothing I care to look up.
Met John Marshall Jones at the Seattle airport. He was the dad in "Smart Guy" sitcom from years back, and other things of course. Didn't say anything to him though, he was there with his kid and I didn't have anything to say really.
Met Hanson, don't know who was who really as they are all adults now, but they ordered food at this bar they where playing at, they still play small venues and such all over the place so they have a lot of fans.
Can't remember anyone else so I think that is it, aside from when people tell me "Oh that guy plays for the Broncos" or something.

The closest person ive met to a celebrity was Steve Mccurry at a speech he did. He shot this picture over in Afghanistan as a freelance photographer.
He may not be a big-time celebrity, but he had the most amazing adventurous story I have ever heard in my entire life. He was in a plane over the middle east that went down and he was pronounced dead but survived the crash. And he travels the world on his own and captures peoples everyday lives and culture. He's pretty much 100% my inspiration to do what he does eventually.
Sorry for the enormous picture, i wasnt aware it was that large.

I'll just repost what I said in the other "famous people" thread:
When I was in my early 20's, I worked at Salt Lake International airport as a TSA security screener. I made Steve Young take his shoes off and patted him down.. he was furious, thought I had picked him "because of who he is", but it was really just a random check. I am not a football fan, and I had no idea who the blustery little fuck was until after he left and some other screeners came over and told me.
Also, Meg Ryan doesn't like having her purse rifled through.
That is all.
