yeah I just realized that now. Iodized means Iodide was added to salt, but not these days anymore. So what this means is that salt has no nutrients unless Iodide was added to it. Salt is nothing more than just sodium.

And yes you can eat kelp instead of salt to get your daily iodine.

I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about. Sodium is rarely, if ever, found alone naturally; it is highly reactive. And just so you know there is actually more chloride in salt/sea water than sodium (Na). Also Its NaCl, sodium chloride, not pure sodium; close those ass cheeks you call a mouth.
Also Dr. Maynard Murray spent his life researching why fresh water fish get diseases and why disease is virtually non-existent in sea water life. His obvious conclusion was because of sea salt; it was the only difference. Sea salt provided every nutrient needed in similar proportions to blood. marine life does not get cancer, but fresh water life does... this isnt rocket science. Also, sodium is an electrolyte, which is absolutely essential to nerve and muscle functioning (our brain is just a large networks of nerves.) Maybe this is why your responses are full of shit; you dont eat salt and your brain is not functioning fully/properly. One final note that all people should know: The difference between an antidote and a poison is the dose.

I would have to disagree on this point. Sea salt comes in all different forms. The crystal size can be any where from powder to a 1/4 inch rock for table use. Each form has its uses. If you are throwing rock salt on your steak I would agree with your statement but doing that is not necessary nor inherent to the use of sea salt.

Please also b aware of sea water contamination nowadays - I know there are for sure many good sources of sea salt, but as healthy alternative I suggest using himalayan salt.

Isn't pink salt considered himalayan salt? I think I read the back of the bottle wrong.

himilayan salt can be pink, or green, or blue, etc. Most of the stuff you'll find in stores is pink.
It's good shit, and cheap.

It's about $5 compared to the Morton salts of the same size which is only about 75 cents.

I'm sorry, but if you're going through that much salt you have bigger problems.
I bought a 5 dollar bottle of himalayan salt 2 years ago and it's just now down to 1/4 left. 5 dollars for 2 years of salt is what I'd consider cheap.
It's even cheaper on ebay.
