He was actually armed with a big truck. It's still a shame that this kid died.
Yep the article is bullshit. Still though it seems like the shooting was probably avoidable. Stay in the cars and wait for backup to arrive in heavier vehicles to block the truck in.
and in the mean time the chase starts up again, the kid runs over half a dozen people on their little bar crawl at the area pubs, are their lives worth less than the kid's life?

Honestly the way the kid was driving I feel the cops were in the right to have fired on the kid. You can watch the cops dashcam vid on liveleak.

Hey guess what? You're not supposed to call public agencies like the police dept or fire dept to discipline your kids. It's too bad the son got killed, but the father can blame himself entirely for this situation.

The kid is just as guilty, IMO. He put dozens of lives at risk with his driving.

I guess the lesson to learn here is: don't smoke cigarettes, cause they will kill you.

That kid was totally out of control. I can understand why they shot him.

Come on guys, what more proof do you need that it's time to get rid of your government?
Indeed, I cant understand people can keep living in the US with a police state/justice system like this
and I dont see anything happening about it
shoot a kid because he doesnt turn off a car, without he even endangered anyone/tried to run anyone over??

Except that he did endanger people, rammed cars numerous times, and almost backed over a guy who was on foot. Did you watch the video?

Seriously, watch the video. Look at him blow through that intersection and narrowly miss a bunch of cars. He easily could have killed someone.

lots of foolish comments in here.
the lesson here (for yo american fathers) is don't call the police for stupid shit and drive your son into stealing your car and running away from police, because your dumbass called them on your son.
simple. it's tragic... anyone voting for the kids death is... (i'm not going to banned)
and seriously, the kid was an idiot? the kid was just probably sick and tired of being policed constantly, as if he was an idiot. something that some of you people still can't comprehend because... (guess why)

If someone is intentionally smashing their truck into law enforcement vehicles, and driving into areas backwards where innocent people are walking around, I would say he's very dangerous. It's lucky no one was killed from the actions of this moron.

too bad instead of letting the kid just drive around a bit, after his car was stolen, the idiot father called the cops on him and in turn lead his son into freaking out and running, causing a pursuit.
you people can't see that? are do you guys just love death and destruction? the kids was chased. i dunno know about you people, but when police officers start chasing you, people have the tendency to run, if you feel it's unjust.

No, I've never been in a car chase with police. Have you?
What was unjust about it? He stole the car.

He stole a car, pulling him over was pretty justified. Some people have no respect for property rights.
