One of the worst experiences last night ...
    #19109641 - 11/09/13 09:21 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Last night I took 6g of dried mushrooms and was expecting a nice relaxing evening. The roommates came into my room and were bickering and arguing and pulling me into it. At this time I started to really get into my trip. Somehow we got on the topic of that "1 in 10 americans are in prison". One of the roommates then decided it would be a good idea talking about all of the risks I was taking growing mushrooms.

I am not a paranoid person by nature. This is the first time I experienced true paranoia in my life.

For some reason, I decided it was a good idea to close down shop and assume no further risk in my life as a grower. This may have been a wise idea, but the execution went poorly. In my paranoid tripping stupor I decided that we needed to clean up show NOW, as in, at 11pm. I'll spare you the details, but we have about 5 huge plastic bins worth of supplies that had to be disposed of. I started to throw them away in the garbage cans, but then I quickly realized that the garbage cans were full.

What would happen if someone noticed some of the supplies? Would someone notice that the trashbags used to throw the supplies away were the same trashbags we used for our normal living? Would someone be able to make the connection? What would I do with the rest of the trash if there was no room? If I didn't dispose of all of it at once, I would be greatly be increasing my chacnes at getting caught. My paranoia was literally fueling my paranoia at this point. At no point did my roommates say "hmm, maybe this would be a bad idea".

I take that back. They said "don't you think this is a bad idea?" when I told them that if I was closing down shop, we had to get rid of EVERYTHING illegal in the house in the off chance that the trash be used to get a warrant into the apartment. You know what that means?

Yes. I rationalized that throwing away 3oz of perfectly potent and dried mushrooms would have been a good idea. I've been saving these mushrooms for christmas to make gourmet chocolate candies to send as gifts to friends and family.

Not only that, but we dumped three monotubs that were colonizing.

There was another tray that we tossed that was perfect. It was slated to be fruited probably in 3 days time. It was perfectly gooey, white, and plump and beautiful. I almost cried when I tossed it.

And two trays which were fruiting.

That damage is irreversible.

I've decided to downsize my operation and focus more on stealth monotub operation. Thankfully I've got 4 fully colonized quarts of wbs to fruit so it shouldn't be too bad.

So kids, don't make decisions when on drugs.

Oh, and for the record: we had to haul most everything that I threw out last night back inside because I realized how large of a risk I was taking by not disposing of everything appropriately.

The risk comes from selling them, and so does the paranoia. You can do anything you want within the comfort of your own home.

Your friends aren't very good friends either if they knew you were tripping and decided to change the topic of conversation to something negative.

not sure if this is the right forum for this.  but anyway......your first mistake is letting your roomates in on your grow.  i understand sometimes there is no other way around it, but, these are things that happen when you do that.  you might be better off, as it seems, you have paranoid roomates to begin with.  someone that feels the need to tell you the obvious such as that, obviously doesnt sound too thrilled to be even a third party in said doings, and that right there is a cause for concern.

your roomates sound like if shit hit the fan, they would sell you up the river in a second.  i dont know them for shit, and just speculating.  but thats some crazy shit to say.  im sure they are just looking out for you, but, yea.
