OP, just for reference, recent studies have said that the way to cure psychological disorders most likely lies in taking a few large doses that can lead to more mystical experiences. Micro dosing has only really been shown to help with cluster headache as far as I've found in my research.
Recently wrote a paper to my college professor about this so my information is pretty reliable.

OP and others - what doses are you considering microdoses i.e what weight/size?
I'm interestedin microdosing as well, but I'm wondering what the general consensus for the 'threshold' is around in people who are microdosing's experience?

After microdosing on and off for the last year, I've found my perfect sweet spot to be 0.08g of P. Cubensis. With Psilocybin body weight is not a factor in tolerance.
I find this dosage works perfectly as I get the mood lift without the confusion and body load associated with the come-up (and potent microdoses). I have tried anywhere from 0.05-0.3g microdoses until I found the right dose for myself at least.
I do not have a dosing regimen, however if I do take a dose I will not take another for at least 3 days if I choose to dose again soon.

My dose will be too small to be active in mood changes. It will be a very small microdose that will be just enough to alter brain chemistry

That's the point though, you really don't want it to be apparent but more "behind the scenes" effects. Sub-threshold.

Again no word back. Even though I am not interested in microdosing myself, I may just have to start doing so, for science. No one reports back...

It's because they don't follow through.
Nobody wants to go through with it after a few days.
Personally I've done it up to three days in a row, loses the magic quickly, and gets rather tiring to be so oddly off-baseline for so long

I feel the same way about Psilocin.
From my experience, LSD is more effective when microdosing.

Well, then they should report that! Does it make them lazy as well?

There should be some kind of penalty for people who start microdose threads but never follow through.

I did a week of microdosing to try it myself and i must say that it is great for when you want to study something or work on solving tasks. Microdosing also does not show much in your pupils that you are operating with mystical superpowers.
Now microdosing is around 0.25g, i did 0.35 because most of my smaller shrooms was in the 0.33 to 0.37g and was easy to dose with. Be adviced that if you up the level and go beyond 0.5g your pupils will start to become larger and give you that weirdo looking stare.
Taking 0.35g every 4 hour or so gives me the boost for the entire day, however the bodyhigh you get from the first dose is not so noticeable on the second take.

Lol @ anyone thinking this guy was going to follow through. Even if he eventually reports back, he won't do what he said.
This happens all the time. Somebody who just joined the forum within the last year or so is SUPER EXITED about all this cool new stuff he's reading about. He decides he's going to do this or that, whether its building a Martha in mush cult, or micro dosing here.
Wasn't a big hint the fact that he had no shrooms, never grew, and had to "build a lab"?

Yeah I kinda deduced that nothing was gonna happen when he didn't even know how he was gonna for sure micro dose. With no game plan and not even any mushrooms in the first place there was no way hahaha.

Just throwing in my experiences:
1st: First report
2nd: Second report
Better if you read those reports before this post.
Iam still doing it on and off, less regularly than before. It has been about year and a half. Cant say that I have a reason not to take it. It just doesnt feel like I need to anymore.
Still cant say about any negatives. If you keep your dosage right and dont overshoot. Sometimes when took too much on a normal day, just felt kinda too colorful inside of me...feelings related, kinda like having a rainbow in stomach..heh . Nothing serious tho, just slightly trippy. But I only blame my inconsistent dosage and potency (not weighting). And when you overshoot, the "random thoughts" come...that kind of a chaos in the head that is usual when having a full trip. So your focus might suffer when you overdose.
So dosage is one thing to be careful for, if you are going to do any responsibilities in the day. There is a very fine threshold.
Oh and best on an empty stomach in my opinion, but eat atleast 1 or 2 hours after that because you will feel a bit "acidy" in your stomach.
And I would say that it may have long lasting effects even when u stop taking it. But some are probably just related to getting used to things that those microdoses help you with doing. (Talking to people/anti anxiety for example) Although I would still say that there are long lasting effects with memory, focus, problem solving, etc...
The most noticable effects seem to last for almost 2 days, so sometimes just a single dose every 2 days seems allright and enough. But they are all very very subtle.
I would also say that there are some effects that just get better when dosing consistently. (kinda like reverse tolerance OR very similar to what they describe in nootropics that it builds up over time)
I would very much compare it to effects of nootropics (just from reading experiences from nootropics people), tho I dont have that much experience with nootropics.
But. I have started experimenting with nootropics about a week ago. Cant yet say any real effects from nootropics yet(specifically pramiracetam and noopept) And have been considering experimenting with combination of psilocybin and nootropics.
People say that effects of nootropics start after some weeks of taking it. In this case and my opinion, psilocybin has much more faster effects (immediate in fact), but I have yet to compare effects of eachother.
Too soon for any real reports of nootropics.
BTW: kinda hate how all those microdosing topics just die eventually D: Any questions are more than welcome! Just hoping that I set my email notifications right xD
