This is a real tragedy

There comes a time, it seems, when even parodies must face reality. And for The Onion, that time will come in December, when the satirical news source will stop publishing print editions and shift to being all-digital.
They now join Time and Newsweek and probably soon the NY Times. We'll miss holding their greasy ink copy in our hands

Eh, they had their run. You read a few Onion stories, you've read them all. It wouldn't be a tragedy if they shut down, and honestly I am kind of tired of people gushing over them.

Yeah they're too rigid in their format IMO. Some articles are truly hilarious but after a while it gets tired.

I almost never read the hard copy, and this makes me feel pretty terrible about that. I never figured it would go anywhere.

It's such a tragedy. Few things are as important as reading everything in both electronic AND hard copy format. Certainly not, for example, keeping in touch with family and friends before THEY disappear.
