My roommate brought home a few pelliculosa the other day, so naturally I ran out to the woods and started picking LBMs. Anyway, now that I've got back home, checked the internet, and confirmed my knowledge flaked on me out there, I'm not too hopeful about this first batch. Or the second honestly, it's a SlightlyLargerBM. Side note: anyone have tips for learning the difference between chestnut, cinnamon, rusty, yellow, light, dark, and regular browns?
Habitat: Doug fir woods, close to trail. On the ground.
Gills: ...orange-y, light brown? They're the same color as the dark part of the caps. No bruising visible.
Stem: Length of a bic lighter at longest, most a tad shorter, but pretty uniform. Basically the same color as everything else on this mushroom, just a bit lighter, moving towards whitishness at the base. Solid, feels pretty dense, but can be pulled apart pretty easily. I keep trying to convince myself I see a shade of blue on some of the bases, but I don't.
Cap: Diameter: dime-penny. color: same as gills, generally lighter at tip and edges. Conical, sometimes the older ones flatten out a bit. No visible bruising.
Spore print color: Incoming
Bruising: can't see any
Pics: Some w/ & w/o flash, lighting is non conducive in here.

Alright, round two.
Habitat: Same forest, under some ferns and trees.
Gills: Slightly lighter brown than cap.
Stem: Brown, same as cap. Length ranging from 1-1.5 bics. Sinews or some kind of loose fibers all up and down it. Solid, tough. Base generally lighter and showing blue/olive bruising on all specimens.
Cap: Brown, sometimes darker at the tip. Conical-ish, not flat, older specimens widened out a bit. Scales. Some with a light olive tinge/bruising.
Spore print: Incoming.
Bruising: Blue/olive at base. Occasional olive tinge on cap.

Pic of actually making a spore print:

Pic of a not totally fruitless hunt:

Smiley of preemptive gratitude:

First could be Galerina, second looks like Inocybe. Compare to Inocybe calamistrata.

Those Inocybe calamistrata sure are neat looking mushrooms. Nice find (but don't eat em!)

Seems like every thread I read has galerinas in it lol... What I've read on inocybes makes them out kinda sketchy: possibly weakly active, probably toxic.
Thanks for the reply!
Oh, and there's the 2nd opinion. Is there anything I can do with them other than spread mycelium/ toss em out the window?

Your Inocybe collection? Spore print and dry them, someone may want those for microscopy.
