"The brain (reality? ( relative )) is because the consciousness(observer) created it, and thus reality is made by the observer"

Knowing that we create what we know is reality, and that everyone gets about the same messages, but still see things differently..:

I wonder; we both see green grass, but how different would our "greens" be if we were to be switced?

It is hard to disprove either matter or consciousness as the source.  People have a lineage from mother and father to child to the next generation. In this way consciousness has a continuity which extends back to the distant past and our animal progenitors.  Many say that DNA is the basis of the consciousness in matter and that RNA transcribes it into manifest form.

But this was just aboout the consciousness of the DNA based lifeform upon our planet.

I am not one to speak to things I don't have experience of and I have not experienced anything not easily knowable through this human form. Even my high falutin psychicly spiritual experiences to me are just something which this flesh is able to pow wow.

I do not believe that matter itself, devoid of a nervous system, is able to produce the consciousness - the light of the eyes.  I also do know that many places seem to drain my own awareness (such as Las Vegas).

My conclusion for myself is that consciousness is only of importance to creations of DNA.  (within this world). And that things with no nervous system have little use for it.

I think everything has soul and feelings...

"Rocks are alive too, they are just too slow for us to interact with"...

--------------------
And thus begins the  reverse-fusing of our one-dimentional understanding, and adds ever-expanding perspectives, in depth and number; splitting our perception, and in so doing, seemingly irrationally, creates yet more one-ness, with all that ever was, is and will ever be, streching across the infinite, inunderstood concept of everything, percievable and not.

What is your perspective on the relationship between consciousness and matter and what insights or experiences have influenced and helped shape your current view?

~Peace & Love~

I don't really see a relationship as matter is not other than consciousness

We say 'matter' like its actually something but when we look it gets less & less solid the deeper into it we look, ultimately it thins out into consciousness, so there is only consciousness

very true, thank you for bringing up this point

consciousness = energy = vibration = matter :vibin:

the real question is whether or not you believe consciousness can exist outside of a vessel with a nervous system?

Yeshua said: "I am the Light within the All. I am the All; the All springs forth from Me and the All attains to Me. Cleave a piece of wood; I am there. Lift a stone and you will find Me."

I feel that this statement expresses a heightened form of awareness and personal identification with a level of consciousness that both transcends and interpenetrates matter... In my opinion, very beautiful and powerful words.

What's your sources for the Gospel of Thomas? Can you recommend any good books?

I have a first edition of the Gospel According to Thomas from 1959 but my go to is the Gnostic Bible by Shambhala Publications, a huge volume of collected Gnostic writings with beautiful translations.

I also recommend the Essenes: their History and Doctrines by Christian Ginsburg, the Essene Gospel of Peace and the Essene Way - Biogenic Living by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ by Tau Malachi, and definitely read the Sacred Mushroom and the Cross by John Allegro is you haven't already.

Matter is a sort of focal point point for consciousness, there are entities floating out there in different planes of existence that are pure consciousness but it is beings with material aspects that have that have the most power to alter the universe. IME Spirits either have some basis in the physical; plants, animals, Sites of power or maybe extra-terrestrials and thngs that only exist because of the mind that experiences them; voices, astral parasites that sort of thing.

Even this rock hurtling through space; we just haven't figured out how to think like a planet, so communication is difficult.

At some point in time (and even today in some indigenous cultures) human beings were in tune with the Gaian matrix, living closer to the Earth and maintaining a more intimate relationship with nature through constant ingression of the plant mind via naturally occurring psychedelic medicine and other psychoactive substances.

In my own experience, psychedelics have offered a profound sense of connection with the natural world and the Gaian mind we find ourselves immersed within. They have assisted me in establishing energetic and psychic lines of communication I would otherwise be without or completely unaware of. This connection produces a greater sense of responsibility for the overall well being of the planet and a turning away from the self interested endeavors of modern society.

I think its imperative, now more than ever, that we bring ourselves as a species back into alignment with the planet and treat it as a living organism, of which we are merely cells, and work towards the health and longevity of our extended body & Mother.

very true, we exist as concentrated points of energy where consciousness becomes self aware and able to view and analyze itself and its nature from within.
