So I'm on my first time attempting bulk. I took fully colonized brf cakes crumbled and mixed it in a bag with pasteurized verm coir and a little bit of coffee. Put it all in small foil trays put a top on poked holes n top and left them alone. The substrate is now 100% colonized and I'm wondering if another layer of verm with a little bit of coir for a casing would be beneficial or should I fruit as is? They will be put in the sgfc tonight so if anyone could give me input it'd be greatly appreciated.

I have actually come to prefer casing but not with coir I use the 50/50+ casing with peat moss vermiculite calcium carbonate and gypsum.

I plan on getting peat moss for my next bulk. The only reason I was gonna add a little coir was to speed up the myc growth thru the casing layer. So right now I should go no casing layer then mist heavily then fan for a few minutes then put in direct sunlight for a few minutes then put in sgfc. Am I correct?

yes watch for beads of moisture across the surface of your sub, that gives you your 100% humidity on the surface where it matters most, once it's not right across the surface miist away

Thank you both. I can use all the help I can get. I've been searching around but finding up to date info isn't always easy.
