Johnny was a good man and a great musician. I really don't get into country music but his songs were a cut above the rest, or maybe country at it's purest. My father had a cassette of Johnny Cash that I would listen to over and over when I was 6 years old (1972), especially I Walk The Line, I couldn't get enough of that song. Rest in peace Johnny.
Nice pictures by the way!

i hurt myself today to see if i still feel i focus on the pain the only thing that's real the needle tears a hole the old familiar sting try to kill it all away but i remember everything
what have i become? my sweetest friend everyone i know goes away in the end you could have it all my empire of dirt i will let you down i will make you hurt
i wear this crown of shit upon my liar's chair full of broken thoughts i cannot repair beneath the stains of time the feelings disappear you are someone else i am still right here
what have i become? my sweetest friend everyone i know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt i will let you down i will make you hurt
if i could start again a million miles away i would keep myself i would find a way

I'd just like to say that I'm glad he released that cover of Hurt before he passed, because if he hadn't I would not respect him as I do now. I grew up well after his "time" and grew up listening to music of a different type. Because of this, I tend to overlook the possibility of quality existing in older music.
But, his cover of Hurt allowed me to atleast experience a little bit of Johnny Cash in a way I can relate to--and now I can say "he will be missed" instead of just shrugging with indifference like I do with just about everything else.
He will be missed.
