Pins growing slowly in my SGFC?

Hey everyone, so I fully colonized and dunk and rolled 2 BRF cakes to try it out, and they are currently pinning in my SGFC which I mist twice a day and fan about 3 times just to make sure they get enough FAE. The chamber us built to the correct specs. However my humidity is good (90 plus) but my temperature is only about 64 degrees. My faster colonizing cake has approximately 30-35 small pins on it and still counting, but they seem to be growing terribly slowly but have not aborted. My current strain is golden teacher. My theory is that the cake needs to finish creating more pins before it puts its energy into enlarging the other ones? If this is due to temperature, how am I supposed to heat up the area? Ill post pics if needed.
Thanks!

It's undoubtedly because of the temperature. With such a low temperature they'll grow slowly, but they'll be beefy, thick. I'd try to get it up to at least 70. 75 if I could. Use a space heater if you have one. Turn the heat up. Whatever you have to do to raise the temperature, do it.
You shouldn't have any problems at 65 degrees though, like I said. I like higher temperatures so they grow faster.

patience is all you need. Some pictures too. 64F is perfect for fruiting IMO I do it all the time.

Like this you mean?

Pins double in size roughly every day. Seems slow at first but they get a lot bigger really quickly. Just wait a couple days and you'll see.

Nice pinsets, both of you. If I ever did cakes, this is what I'd strive for. Good job!

looking good. Some advice for next time would be to try to get a little more verm on them when you roll them after the dunk. Other than that

I did the same thing my first time with cakes. I watched the lets grow videos again and it's talked about in there but who remembers ever little detail. Notes and checklists are great for this hobby.

Looking good, sounds like you're taking good care. Keep up the same fanning and misting schedule. Maybe try to get the temperature up a bit, but it isn't a big deal - they'll eventually grow.

More updates! They seem to be growing like crazy. Although it seems like lots of their veils have already broken at such a small size..not sure why that is. Should I pick them now or let them reach full size? As well in one of the pictures you can see a faint greenish/blue stain on an area of the cake..is that a contamination or spores? Thanks!

It happens sometimes. You're not going to get 9inch fruits from a PF cake. When the veil opens they're full size and not going to get much bigger at all except to flatten the cap out and drop spores everywhere making a mess.

So youd reccomend i pick the broken vailed ones now? And ive seen some pretty big yields from pf cakes on this website and they seem too small. Dissapointing but i guess theres reasons behind it. Ill probably try my next grow with a verm/coir bulk substrate and see how that goes.

moisture/genetics are the main influences on fruit size, but i've had veils tear early and fruuits still stretched, i wait for the ca color to change

As in having a humid environment? Cause i mist the SGFC quite frequently and fan so i cant see that being a reason there so small. But who knows its my first grow. And id love to see them stretch out a bit cause there growing like crazy:)

No....moisture in the substrate.
We do not mist for humidity, we mist to replace lost moisture in the substrate.
We fan out the chamber afterwards so that evaporation can take place, which helps with humidity.

42 grams wet! Id say not a bad turnout for my first grow/cake/flush.
