Dehydrating at 160?

i searched and read alot of threads. many saying, any heat up to 200 degrees wont affect potency. to people saying they dry at 95.
there were enough trusted sources that mentioned they heat at 145 to 150
my dehydrator goes up to 160. i heat them at that for 8 hours and they were cracker dry. i used to heat at 115-125 to be safe and it would take alot longer if i recall correctly. i would put them in at night and many a big fruits would still need some time come next morning.
anyway, ill be testing out this weekend. hopefully i will be able to attest to no noticeable loss in potency, as im drying some now at 130 just to see if theres a difference.
curious as to what some of you dry at.

My dehydrator doesn't have temperature control, but it is heated. I'd say 115-130 AMX. It takes me well over 24 hours to get all of my flushes dry. The racks I use are small and end up being COMPLETELY covered with fruits.
I would be a little weary about 160°. Heat speeds up oxidation, so your shrooms are more likely to lose a bit of potency(whether or not that heat for that length of time will degrade them noticeably, I do not know).

Mine is 165F and it works great.
Facts: People boil for tea, cook on grills, and batter and fry with no NOTICEABLE loss in potency.
Oxidation is more of a threat than dehumidifier temps.
Crank it up and rip the knob off
and this ..... http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/17212778

The problem is, since there is no dial for temp on the unit, then the default temp has to be able to make jerky, which is way to high.
I use my dehydrator that gets to 150F+ for 12 hours and i get completely dry potent fruits.
The actives in muchrooms dont break down until FAR past 200F, while most dehydrators never make it past 165F.
Use heat and they should be done in 12 hrs...16 at the most...packed full.(Usually a quarter pound)
Psilocybin & Psilocin Chemistry
Use heat.

Mine goes up to 160-170F read with a thermometer. No heat control at all though. I cut my fruits in half and it usually goes 6-10 hours depending on the size of them.

Just make sure the dehydrators fairly full or else you can melt your trays. Mine is a 1000W so that could be it too.
