so do you? say someone walks up to you, and asks to pray for you, do you let them? how do you react to it?
would love to hear some opinions on that. i always ask what for, though..

Can't say it's ever happened to me before, but I don't see why I wouldn't. I'm not usually in a hurry or anything. I'd probably ask why but something tells me I'd still be rather confused.

it used to piss me off actually but now im like.....whateva floats ur boat brah
thing is i feel like most people do that and other "nice things" not because they really want to help you but because it makes them feel better i used to try to argue them out of it but it always just ended up being counter productive nowadays i'm more into not getting all worked up over shit others do
if i'm talking to someone i care about interacting with on a regular basis i'll let them know where i'm at if it's just a passerby then whatever helps me get rid of them quicker

I'm not powerful enough to stop someone from praying. But I've been studying with professor Xavier and I think I'm starting to worm my way into peoples minds more and more

Word.
If someone wants to pray for me in order to turn me away from my wicked ways, I tell them to go fuck off.
If someone wants to pray for me in order to stop my hip arthritis from hurting so much, that's cool.
I can use whatever help I can get in that department.

I would. I have. Dude seemed like he did it out of anger and I witnessed a female being with a large head come up inside my body and say, 'I want some!' I didn't know what to do. Felt like I was put under mind control. They were Mormons and they said it was a priesthood blessing. Don't know what to think about it.

Those Mormon guys in the white shirts are kinda weird.
But they're always clean-cut and cute.
I figure that counts for something.

If u consider a collective concious or ethereal energy even plausible, prayer may have a big impact on the world...
If not then who the fuck cares.... if someone wants to do something for me to make themselves feel better, great, I'm glad I could help... if its negative or disrespectful, great, I believe karma is much stronger than any other religious deity and you will be punished for your ill intent....
I'd rather not know what the person is up to... that's on them...
I like wiggin out on mormons... throwing my hands up and yelling gibberish while shaking my head violently.... that's how u tell the believers from the non.... ppl really freak when they think they're actually causing a reaction like that

If you believe in the power of the mind then prayer can be a powerful thing. I think you guys are lookin into the religious aspect too much. Anyways, I used to think Christians were close minded but it looks like atheists are just as bad...maybe we could set an example?
Anyway, what's it gonna hurt if you let them pray for you? What's wrong with that shit? We need all the help we can get. I'm pagan/pantheist by the way.

What if they are in concert with a force that you might have assumed doesn't exist?
You might be surprised at least. Or taken over.

There was a whole church that prayed for me when I caught a serious sickness that should have killed me. Not only did I survive but I healed and left the hospital faster than anyone had seen before.
Conscious directed intent.......
