Hello all. This is my first submission to shroomery, although I have been reading it for multiple years. I recently moved houses, and upon arrival at my new home I began to realize a surfeit of mushrooms clusters appearing. Since I have had several encounters with different mushrooms, I began seeing some resemblances.
Habitat: Yard within a heavily dense wooded area experiencing recently, temperate mild climates with frequent rain, appear in clusters
Gills: consistent khaki, skin tone, straight at the base become progressively wavy halfway across the radius
Stem: A lighter beige color, roughly .5 cm in diameter, distinguishable vertical strands appearing darker resembling 80 percent intensity of the cap color, quite fragile easily splits, grow outwards in cluster, can be very long so measurements are in accurate
Cap: brown increase in intensity the farther away from the center, with an upward intrusion in the center approximately occupying 1/5 of the radius from either side, anywhere from .5 cm to 2.5 cm in diameter, cylindrical
Spore Print Color: In the process of collecting sample
Bruising:no clear color detected
Location: Near the Northern Houston Metro-plex
Smell: distinct, calm smell, similar to button mushrooms in the store
Photographs

Cap

Gills

Slightly older adjacent cluster appears to be same species

Still Armilaria species.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Btw: the tree growing nearest them, if still standing, is probably in trouble.
