Essential Lessons

Just finished walking 200 miles across Texas! My contact here, rad chick and long time friend, got us some acid and we (as veterans do) decided it would be a good idea to climb a mountain in the middle of the night during a cold drizzle on two hits of good acid. It was a very fucking good idea indeed =). We climbed that bitch TWICE that night. only 2000 feet but incase anyone was interested, Enchanted Rock State Park in the heart of Texas is the single trippiest place I have ever been. Lichens of every color you can imagine dispersed among the rocks. Everything from ice blue to fucking neon green. LIVING THINGS. Anyway, this was the best trip of my life to this point because it was the first one where I realized I have nothing new that I need to learn from psychedelics. I got this thing down pat. THAT was the lesson. There is an infinite amount of mind-blowing information that I want to learn, but all the important stuff about life that I NEED to learn has been learned. I was able to sit back, enjoy the ride, and just say to myself, "WOW, this is LSD! FUCK YEAH! WOOO!!!"
Ok, so this is not a trip report. That was a preface to the real post. That got me thinking: What exactly are those benchmark lessons; those important life altering knowledges that every psychonaut should seek to achieve? What are the big things? A few came to mind:
1.) The universe as a connected organism, all life is physically intertwined into one. 2.) Universal consciousness (as apart from the PHYSICAL connection of number 1) 3.) Infiniti (not the concept, but the psychedelic realization of what infinity actually is; what it looks like, how it behaves in real life)
What else?

Sounds like a great trip!!!
I've learnt to trust my pure positive instincts and to deal with problems in an effective manner(for the most part anyhow )...All thoughts are relative to the one true thing you know which is that you are alive and feel/think/perceive.... if you see things in a more positive light then you'll feel and act in a more positive way!!!

Don't know if I agree with universal consciousness or not. Is an interesting concept but not entirely backed up by much...
But for me the most important lessons have been:
1. The unity and connectedness of all being 2. The lessons in learning to let go and being an observer in a life where I don't have a whole lot of control, but that I can still control my attitude. 3. Learning to not see in black and white but to see the full spectrum of realities. 4. Power of having universal love for yourself and all beings around you

True, accept gods love :-)
and if you dont believe in god, accept the peace
its there all the time, just have to accept it, notice it from inside, and from everywhere around us if we notice it, and to everyone around us if we chose to

I wish I tripped enough to be a crazy loving hippie.
It would do my psychology wonders.

I thought you knew it all, why are you asking us? LOL the only thing that I knoe from using psychedelics is that I don't know anything and I must strive to know more and every time I learn more I realize that there is infinite more to know because even as I'm learning, things are growing and changing. Anywho, your things to know sounds like pantheism. Good day!

Takes less than that, just takes 2 strong hits reborn, and you will be a hippie after, you dont come back the same as before each time more hippie each time think I had maybe 4-5 NDE / rebirth experiences / egodeath now
Ive only tripped maybe 150 times LSD :-) , before I was a law abiding citizen saying no to drugs, even weed, studying and working all my life as the only enjoyment in life, cubicle worker ;-)
trip 1000 times and you become john lennon, 99% hippie world peace etc he took lsd 1000 times and had egodeath too if you trip too much you might start to think youre jesus christ and it might not be wrong ;-P you can chose to be like jesus - give love to everyone around you, or you can chose to ignore own morals and live like you chose thats basically the choice we have, or the middle way too some self desire maybe, instead of selflessness all the time, dunno
the greatest happiness is from making others happy/seeing them happy
but to function in a business world we need some selfishness, else its very hard to function or even write a CV ;-)
... unless one is self employed or studying, then selflessness doesnt matter
moderation is good... but we all binge once in a while, thats ok :-) dont abuse anything if you want to be yourself
peace , thats a pretty important lesson from psychedelics its free and we can have it at any time, and gets better by being shared peace is love?:-) , theyre pretty closely related
peace
and it isn't only for hippies :-)
love peace in mind(no worries, live now) peace in the world acceptance of everything appreciation of everything seeing we are all the same positive thinking
Everything is in that word, but few dare say it :-)
btw I just had a few beers, dont mind me, im drunk

if we are frustrated about others we are frustrated about ourselves
No doubt,no worries,no frustration,no fear, only acceptance and appreciation in the moment :-)
jesus is 100% acceptance, buddha is 100% acceptance be which of them you like, or be yourself, acceptance is important :-)
acceptance is love no thoughts, just experience, gratefulness, appreciation
non-acceptance is constant worrying/thoughts
observe thoughts, see how pointless frustration/worrying is when it arises, let it pass

Well I am a fallible human being like the rest of us and all those great lessons didn't come to mind right away Pus it makes for good conversation!
