Spawn Bags for noobs and amateur 3

Well I've been seeing alot of noobs going with spawn bags. Boy are they asking alot of questions well hopefully when someone asks what do I do with my grow bag or w.e. We can just link them this thread. Now pre-sterilized spawn bags are pretty simple. Just be clean and you really can't go wrong.
1. Inoculate the pre-sterilized spawn bags using SAB and standard sterilization procedure for room, SAB, and syringes. For pre-sterilized spawn bags you will be inoculating with an MS or an LC. Because this is geared towards newer people we will assume you're using an MS. You will be using 1-3 CCs of spore solution per pound of spawn. Unfold the bags in a clean SAB and "inflate" the bag by pulling on the front and back slowly to bring air in thru the filter patch. Sterilize the inoculation point. Heat the needle of your syringe to red hot. Inoculate your bag.
2. Allow to colonize with ambient light at room temps. Do not excede low 80s for incubation. Spawn bags generate a lot of internal heat. That high heat can cause the mycelium to stall. Stand the bags upright and unfolded. The filter patch is there for GE. Make sure it can do its job. Mycelium benefits from 6500k or daylight spectrum indirect light at all stages of growth. A 12/12 light schedule is recommended. I personally have my light schedule on 18/6 and I haven't noticed any negative effects.
Mix the bags at 20%-50% colonization. Allow mycelium to colonize the bag 100%. 3. Spawn to 50/50 coir/verm or 50/50+ whatever you prefer. You can find the recipe for it here.
To figure out how much to use for your tub you can do some math or use a calculator. For your spawn to sub ratio I suggest you do 1:2 or 1:3. I use the calculator and somewhere between 1:2 and 1:3. Bulk sub calculator. Just remember some totes taper down to the bottom so I suggest measuring the bottom of your tote to ensure an accurate calculation. Now after preparing your bulk substrate, spawn to a mono-tub. I follow "Frank's how I get shit done tek"
4. Allow that bulk sub to colonize 100%. Then introduce fruiting conditions. I use Hyphae pinning strategy
5. Maintain fruiting conditions. For the mono-tub I use "Dial in your mono like a boss" Harvest, dry, enjoy.
If u have anything you think I should change please let me know. To the noobs I hope you find this information as helpful as I have.
Ps. I suggest anyone new to the site take a look at this.

And then you ask questions that can be found by using the search engine.
Answer to Question#1 Another answer to Question#1
There is no easy answer to Question#2
Roast pans are used in a GH because it's the base for the substrate. In a GH the trays are left open to the conditions of the GH, but the monotub does everything for you including humidity, FAE, and doubling as a base for your substrate; so an extra roast pan in the bottom is just extraneous. If you plan to use aluminum roast pans in your GH you should plan to use a liner. You don't HAVE TO use a liner in a PLASTIC monotub tote, but many people prefer to including myself.

2. Allow to colonize 100% under CFL set to 12/12 at room temps. Mixing at 30%-50% colonization.
Colonizing spawn bags don't need a 12/12 light cycle, ambient light is sufficient during colonization. The 12/12 light cycle is for the fruiting stage. Mushrooms' needs don't change much when it comes to temperature change between stages of growth (jar->bag->tub). All cultivation of p. cubensis can be accomplished between 65 and 80F. The temperature of 75F will work perfectly.

Thanks for the help midnight! As for the first part I'm sorry. I was being half lazy and half incompetent. Won't happen again my apologies. Take a look at my revised original post see if that is more to your liking. And I still ask anyone with similar experiences to post them.

So if I take my syringes and put 3-5CCs in a spawn bag and wait, will I be okay? Assuming I sterilize alright?
Or do I have to do stuff after that?

Actually a 12/12 light cycle throughout the entire process is recommended (indirect during colonization and direct during fruiting). It is beneficial in that it helps develop a circadian rhythm much like we have.
@magical hindu-Just flame the needle till it glows red then allow to cool (or push a drop or two of spore solution out to cool it, however do not wipe it with an alcohol soaked paper towel or anything else for that matter to cool it down, this would defeat the purpose of flame sterilizing the needle and render unsterile). When injecting into the bag allow the spore solution to run down the sides of the bag, do not inject into the middle of the grains.

Partially. I am kind of just reminding myself and also if I say I'll read this in the thread it shows up in my threads tab. That way I can keep track of what I need to read. Think Ive done it a couple other times.
