san pedro A/B extraction questions

I've done many extractions in the past. But its been awhile and reading thru the post i see a lot of new info along with some old. my questions are first Ive read alot of people using a pressure cooker to speed up the cook time in making the syrup. I dont have a pressure cooker i own a pressure canner could i just run the the jars of cactus powder and acidfied water thru the pressure canner to speed up my cook time ? And secondly i now own 3 separator funnels my thoughts were instead of mixing my non-polar solvent with my basic solution i could put my funnels on a stand one above the other filling the top one with my aqueous solution and putting my solvent in the other two and slowly dripping the aqueous solution thru each funnelĀ getting every drop of the aqueous solution traveling thru the solvent without creating an emulsion. I don't see a reason why these wouldn't work but if anyone else has some experience with either of these. I'd love to hear your thoughts

Doesn't cooking itself lower potency somewhat? So wouldn't the higher temps of the pressure cook potentially harm potency more than necessary?

I haven't heard that before Ive always boiled down the syrup to a reasonable amount. The pressure cooker is something I just recently read about. It was to my understanding that mescaline isn't very sensitive to heat. Is that assumption wrong ?

I made syrup last month and tried it recently and it really tripped me hard. The key is to use a pressure cooker and then simmer all the liquids, simmer, don't boil. Mescaline is quiet stable.

Pressure cookers and pressure canners are the same thing.

im actually not sure if it is a problem ? i wasnt planning on putting my cactus and acid directly into the cooker/canner i was going to jar it up but even then when your canning something you dont screw the lids down tight and so some off the evaporated liquid will escape the jars i just dont know if its enough to worry about the aluminum vessal contaminating my syrup

and no ones commented on my separtory funnel idea ?? so i can assume no ones tried it ?? i just think it would be a way to eliminate emulsions

if it releases gases they have to go somewhere. Make sure to release the air every once and a while

Regardless it is still going to have to be mixed/swirled around so that the mesc can go into the solvent

If that you're concern, you have nothing to worry about.
