I just posted a better Hey Joe. I don't think it's even close.

Definitely I see where you are coming from. A lot of amazing guitar players/musicians don't get the recognition they deserve because their shit is way over people's heads. The Mars Volta and Frank Zappa are prime examples of that. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix were on that level but they were just good at translating their amazing guitar skills into something average people could connect with. I say Frank Zappa was a musician's musician if that makes any sense.

Zappa was more than just a great guitar player. He was a serious composer. SRV had a better guitar player in his family and Hendrix has been vastly over-rated in my opinion.

way better than Hendrix? Yes that guitarist is technical, but he is technical, he is not close to Hendrix in my opinion. Did that guy ever write a guitar riff over a 500 million people recognize?

Oh yeah I definitely know. Zappa learned all of his stuff by going to the library. I know he was a genius. You should watch him when he went on CNN crossfire and completely annihilated those retards.

I really like the way Jack White plays the guitar. (or should i say used to play...)
Not a technical player but i feel he's raw and soulful.. The dude could go to a thirft shop with 100 bucks in his pocket and come out with a bunch of junk equipment and still make good sound tunes with it... (notice how trashed the guitar is in the video above)

Hendrix didn't write Hey Joe. I think Buchanan has more soul than Hendrix, who leaves me cold.
Both junkies, by the way.

i submit johnny thunders, the lead guitarist of the new york dolls and singer/guitarist of johnny thunders & the heartbreakers. he was no virtuoso by any means but he practically invented punk guitar and was rock n roll down to his bones.
a full album
and some live clips (hes the short black haired one not the tall blonde dude)
