Indeed I will post updates. I made like 8, 1 gallon bags of blue oysters and let them out and watered them but they stalled because of multiple days of heat! I got frustrated and gave up with them because I couldnt keep the moisture content where it needed to be. I left them for like 3 weeks and during the last week we had 4 days of rain and clouds. I went out to hide them from my landlord and BEHOLD! There were quite a few blue oysters that took off
Decided to play it safe until we are deep into fall or early winter for the Blue oysters again, so I remade some Pheonix and spawned it to a laundry basket. Very excited to see how it goes

Why must you hide it from your landlord?

Landlords don't like fungus - it eats their houses
Humidity and fungus = destroyed house/apartment to them. And yeah if you do it wrong, they could be right. I'm lucky enough not to have a landlord now so I'm sure others can be more specific.

Should I put this outside? The basket is starting to get some mold on the handles. Its only been a week, RR says it should take 2-3 weeks yet it looks fully colonized
Thoughts please

with me, it first colinizes quite lightly, and afdter that it gets dense. but definately not so fast, i think my colder climate attributes to that. still planning to make a fridge-incubator.

One week! Lets hear it for spore works Smells like perfectly healthy mycellium
What do you guys think I can pin my success on? Is it my flowhood? I have had zero contamination problems when it comes to sterilization, inoculation, and colonization. I see so many people getting infect spawn on here. Do you think its my flowhood I built? I live in the PNW and my house has black mold and everything everywhere! Even my "Lab" techniques look similar to a drug dealer. I throw on some tyvek sleves and plastic gloves, wipe down my hands with alcohol and inoculate in frot of my flowhood The mycellium from this basket was started with 5 jars that I g2g from 1 jar
