Yea OP definitely didn't deserve what happened to him.
I mean, let's be real.
He asked for a badge number and some of you guys see that getting your head slammed into concrete and giving you a concussion is an equal response.

Come on.
Sure, he possibly may have came off like a snobby young kid (I don't know your age), but hurting somebody like that over some authoritative pride. Not right.
Sorry OP, that's fucked.
Not the first power tripping cop story and certainly not the last.

I never said provoke anyone
............................ And I never said it was RIGHT, but what the fuck did he expect to happen, you be a smart ass and they will fuck with you one way or another. This was not some kid exercising his rights, it was him trying to push boundaries, and I am still not convinced that the OP handled this like Gandhi Im not saying he was FIGHTING BACK, but I dont think they beat the shit out of him while he was a limp noodle

Its no wonder you got your ass beat. Find a drunk ass kid talking back to a cop like its gonna make a difference one way or the other what his badge number is.
What are you talking about, it's under your right as a citizen to ask for badge and personnel ID number.
I'm just saying I doubt this guy was being respectful and he got his ass slammed to the ground because of that. I'm not saying what the cop did was right either.
I find it ironic though talking about rights to someone who is violating everyone's rights who drove on the road with him. Drunk driving aint a victimless crime.

I mean i knew i was going to jail because i was underage. Why the fuck would i try to resist arrest? Instead of getting pulled over and going to jail, i got pulled over, beat, arrested, taken to the hospital and then went to jail.
Maybe this anxiety stuff isnt so bad because it keeps me on my toes, but i definatly wont be making to many new friends anytime soon. Also ive completely quit drinking since the incident, so at least one good thing came from this.

What the fuck "take it like a man"?! Police are supposed to make the street safe, not knock anyone out that isnt a threat. "got what you deserved" LOL, what a fucking joke.
I too have some social anxiety but only under the influence of drugs and because of the police. Keep it up man, time will heal the wounds and the anxiety will subside in due time.

Anxiety from violence can last a couple years. Where 'the law' is the source of violence there's little mental statute of limitations to ones dismay about The State. Maybe there's some legit way you can bring down 'The Man?' Meanwhile treat yourself tenderly and give yourself time to readjust, enjoy aloneness, silence, baths, and peace.

You told a cop "I wanna see your badge" not only that but your story doesnt add up. And even IF you were a mild citizen, you got what you deserved. You wanted to play power games and they played it back, plain and simple. I provoked my cop by screaming at him, and getting back to my knees after he tazed me to keep yelling at him.
Me and you are the same, never once since my incident did I cry "Police brutality".....in fact after the whole ordeal I wrote a non chelant letter to the cop mildly joking about the incident with a "good game" sort of vibe.
Police are in charge, NOT YOU. It is YOUR fault you got your ass kicked just like It was my fault I got my ass kicked. I dont always "walk on the side walk" so to speak, and neither do the cops. Its pedestrians and police officers, white black, cold hot, and each has its place. I dont mean to sound rude my boy, but man up
You challenged him, and so they challenged you back. You knew damn well you were talking to a police officer and got treated as a common prisoner in a maximum security prison.
You say "Hello SIR" "No SIR" "May I help you OFFICER"
even a mild passive aggression can be used if you are using correct terminology. Dont play lawyer, dont play overly confident stoner, you show respect, and do you best to be left alone. You got exactly what you asked for, and if the biggest problem you face from the incident is "Social anxiety" (a condition which many suffer who DONT get the shit beaten out of them for mouthing off to the cops) consider yourself lucky.
Know your place Know your strengths Man up and now you know
