I like home theater and (relatively) high end audio equipment. Unfortunately, with whole system setups costing 7-10k I can't upgrade and/or mix and match as much as I'd like.
I have other things I really enjoy like gardening and clothes tailoring but those sometimes border on "chores" status. I'm currently considering getting involved in porn (non-acting) but searching for a niche there. I'm looking at law/regulation of it. That's a job/career though.

I study and collect fossils, not just dino's but plants and sea life too. It has always been a cheap and educational way to spend time with my kids, going on 20 years now. All my gardening hobbies are an excuse to get high. I also enjoy building cars. I am working on a V-8 powered miata at the moment, an abomination of gas-fueled metal and rubber.
-------------------- Rocks speak to me, and tell me this: The Hell Creek formation is a gigantic slab of rocks that covers several western states. It contains an account of the dinosaurs' demise. In the late Cretaceous period, the first Cannabis species appear, and soon after, all the non-bird dinosaurs disappeared. Obviously, marihuana killed the dinosaurs. That giant meteor that smacked the yucatan peninsula right afterwards, coincidence.

I've been an avid target shooter for several years now.
I shoot handguns, skeet, and long range precision.
I highly recommend it; and since you're asian - I doubt anybody will give you a hard time.
Just tell the people at the range that one of your uncles owns a corner store - or that you're a volunteer neighborhood watch leader - and you'll be in.

Crystal G said: I have a hard time staying more than a month clean. I have gotten rid of all my friends that use drugs, but can't seem to stop relapsing once a month. It's not problematic or anything, I will use for a day or two and then won't use for 2 weeks or so again. Then the same thing will start over again.
It's not a problem, it's not interfering with my life or anything, but I feel like I'm getting too old to be using drugs this frequently. I mean, it's one thing if it's New Year's and everybody's taking ecstasy, but that's not what I'm doing. I feel like with the money that I spend on drugs, I could be spending that money on a new hobby that I can connect with other normal people and develop friendships.
I despise bar and club culture, so I stay away from those areas as much as I possibly can.
Cooking and weightlifting are my two passions currently, but cooking isn't good enough, because I'm looking for a hobby that keeps me outside of the house. And since I moved down to a completely different, more suburban area, I find that most people don't want to talk at all my new gym anymore.
It's weird, at my old gym in the hood, I made friends with every single person in the gym. Everybody was super talkative and wanted to joke around and chat and talk about their lives to each other all the time. Every single person at my old gym knew my name. Here, everybody just does their own thing, and they feel like you're invading their personal space or coming on to them by talking to them. I've never felt so awkward making small talk with complete strangers before, because it's something that I got used to doing all the time.
So, I think I'm going to take up a couple of sports. Sports specifically that have an integrated community, release high amounts of adrenaline comparable to drugs, and cost just enough to fill up my monthly drug budget.
My favorite sport is waterskiing/wakeboarding, but it's almost winter now, so I don't plan on taking wakeboarding lessons until summertime. I can't wait that long. But my favorite childhood activity was horseback-riding. So I think I'm going to take polo lessons during this season instead. It's something I've always wanted to do, and now I'm financially within the means to do it, so... why not? I rarely ever spend money on myself, and I hate that I keep postponing things that I've always wanted to do while telling myself, "Someday..."
Plus it will be cool to tell people that I do polo, since not a whole lot of people play that sport anymore. Polo will be perfect too, because I can take Sunday lessons, and then I'll have a legitimate excuse to not attend church with that Christian guy who wants my babies.
Who here has hobbies outside of drug culture, and what are they?
Are there any other hobbies you dream of taking up in the future?
I would love to get better at guitar. I recently picked up gourmet mushroom growing too

It sounds like you need a hobby that will force you to sit still for a little bit and concentrate.
So, if guns are too "patriarchal" - I would recommend archery.
I wonder what Crystal G would be able to do if she focused all of her energy into something specific?
She should consider fap fasting. Complete orgasm denial for a minimum of 90 days.
It really does give you super powers.

I used to take archery classes for 6 months and I have gone to the shooting range a number of times. I'm looking to try something new, and I'm a terrible marksman by the way. Thanks terrible vision!
Dude man, archery especially was.... embarrassing. Towards the end I started hitting the paper though! I'm much better at shooting guns than I am bows and arrows.
Also, that firing range I live right by is too unpredictable in terms of price. It seems the way they set the price is completely dependent upon how many customers were in the store that day. I've been charged anywhere from $35 to $360 for less than 2 hours of target shooting. That's too unpredictable for me to make it a regular hobby, and if you charge people $180 over just to make up for your store losses you are going to lose some customers.

This. Me too. I've done my fair share, I've been to Japan, Korea, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, England, Germany, France, and Sweden. But there are many more countries I'd like to see, or even move to!

Oh yeah, I forgot states outside of here. I haven't traveled the USA that much. Only Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas in Nevada, ski at Salt Lake City in Utah, and New York. I'd like to go to Hawaii, Chicago, and Spain.

Did you forget this is my thread? hehe
But, since there are so many endless places to travel, and no single human can possibly be completely world-traveled to visit every single country, I think it's fair that traveling be included in my to-do list. I snorkeled with wild sea lions in Catalina this summer for my vacation; I kept it simple this year. My next trip next year will probably be Korea.

My main hobby is posting on the shroomery!
Doing drugs/ drug related things is also kind of a big hobby of mine.
I also enjoy doing anything outdoors... shootingt guns, riding atvs/dirtbikes, hiking, hunting, fishing, etc...
2 hobbies I've been meaning to take up are painting & writing, I don't use my creative side as much as I'd like to.

Fucking A mate, I just realized while cleaning my room I have 30 tickets to go paintballing that I bought like 3 years ago, and I still haven't even gone once!
I think I might want to organize a Shroomery paintball sesh. Since the more people the merrier, and sometimes there aren't that many people playing out on the field.
